I stumble out of bed, persuade my best friend to find his way out from under the covers, clumsily push the on button of the coffee maker, and with one eye closed, I open the blinds to greet the day. Jack reminds me that it has been too long since his last trip to the great outdoors potty. I grab my robe along with my trusted flip flops and out we go. It is Friday. I can not tell you how excited I was to receive a call from The Beaufort Gazette, our local newspaper in Beaufort South Carolina.  They called me because the journalist found me through Twitter and my ActiveRain blogging!  Of course, I am always excited to talk about blogging and anything related to real estate.  You see, I am one of those people that actually love what I do and LOVE real estate even in a down market.  I just can't help myself!! This past weekend was Shrimp Festival in Beaufort South Carolina.  If you did not make it this year, it is held annually each October in Beaufort's Waterfront Park.  Shrimp Boats sit off on the water of The Beaufort River while people stroll through Waterfront Park at Shrimp Festival. On Saturday morning, October 4th, runners met at the starting line for a 5K run for the Beaufort South Carolina Shrimp Festival.  Participating from RE/MAX Sea Island Realty  is Gretchen Krapf of The Chris Skrip Team and some of her friends.  We are very happy to say that Gretchen finished the race in good shape and with a smile on her face. As if possible, I went from thirty to three in less than five seconds upon seeing the great possibilities that swirled about while walking through the Pumpkin Patch at one of our local churches. Do I want a pumpkin family, a mischevious pumpkin gang, playful pumpkins, political pumpkins, Oh the choices! Then it occurred to me, I am THAT buyer. The one that gets so excited over the possibilities that knowing exactly what I want is completely impossible. I needed, well I needed ME. I needed a Pumpkin agent to bring me back to reality. Someone to educate me on pumpkin intricacies. How on earth I am expected to navigate this great sea of pumpkins with no guidance, direction, or voice of reason. Chris and Maria Skrip of RE/MAX Sea Island Realty  took the buggy tour  through historical Beaufort South Carolina. The buggy tour starts from Downtown Marina  and winds through the Historic District  and Old Point in Beaufort SC.  On the tour, you see many historical homes and landmarks from the Revolutionary and Civil War eras. Chris and Maria Skrip attended the Coastal Conservation  Banquet at The Boys and Girls Club  in Beaufort South Carolina.  The banquet is a benefit with members of the CCA donating items for a silent auction, live auction, and raffle.  Chris won a large rolling cooler in the raffle.  The cooler was filled with a food/meat injector and a breader perfect for grilling or a fish fry!  The CCA Beaufort SC is a "non-profit grass-roots organization dedicated to the conservation of the Palmetto State's marine resources."   As September comes to an end Beaufort, SC says farewell to another gorgeous summer season. We won't be crowding into the Ladys Island Publix to grab our to-go fried chicken, our tans will slowly fade, MOST of us will go ahead and store away our abundant array of flip-flops, our boats won't be nearly as crowded, and we may actually spend a bit more time inside.     The morning air is crisp and cooler than normal. Our air conditioners are getting a little lonesome.
