The 27th Annual Lake Wylie Tour of Homes and Gardens will take place Saturday April 28 from 10am-4pm. Talk about the gadget of the century!  Our entire family loves the beach.  Nothing like spending the day with a good book, cooler of beverages, wide ocean and your feet in the sand.  For years we have always taken our umbrella to get out of the sun since we stay down at the beach all day long.  We have spent tons of money on stands and new umbrellas that seem to get ruined from the hammering them down into the sand. It is definitely a buyer's market, but if you don't have realistic expectations as either a buyer or a seller this can be a disappointing time.  Due to the current state of the economy homes are not selling for as a high a price as they may have a couple of years ago.  Having said that, if you are selling and buying you need to remember that even though the house may not sell for the price you are hoping you can recoup on the buyer side of the transaction and end up purchasing more house than possible a couple of years ago.  Be realistic with your expectations and take the emotion out of the deal.  Understand the market in your area and understand that the goal is to offer fair deals to buyers and sellers.  Many people trying to sell their home will believe their home is worth a certai... 08/19/2010

I i just have to write and say what a great day I had Saturday out on Lake Wylie South Carolina. It was just beautiful. My son took his boat out for the first time and we all jumped in. My 15 year old son was so proud as he had been saving his money for two years to buy this little used boat. We all had to take our shoes off as it might get it dirty (lol). We was the captain and we had to listen. The weather was hot and sunny. There were white puffy clouds galore. The water was very warm. We spent hours trolling around and occasionally fishing. The fish weren't biting, but it was amazing. I think we should all go out occasionally and enjoy the lake.
