Yes. If the driver has a driver's license, proof of insurance on the golf cart and has obtained a $5.00 dollar permit from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Then the golf cart can be legally operated on secondary residential streets and may cross a primary highway or street during daylight hours only within two miles of their residence.

In Honor of Jimmy Klavohn  Mt Pleasant SC The son of a good friend and an agent-owner for 17 years with our Johnnie Dodds office in Mt. Pleasant, Jimmy Klavohn, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 -- he was 31 years old.   His mother, Susan Klavohn Bryant, is indeed a dear friend, and most loyal supporter of her family including her AgentOwned family.  All of our hearts were broken --- Susan works so hard to take care of her family, her friends and her clients.  To see Susan suffer such a tragedy was most difficult. On Tuesday I had something happen to me that hasn't happened in sometime. In order to do the story justice I must start from the beginning. Upon returning from my son's baseball practice which started right at 5:00pm I was helping him get his trash out of my car. I am probably too "Monkish" about trash in my car but we all have our quirks, that one is mine. When I opened the trash can and let go of the trash I realized a second TOO LATE I let go of my Blackberry Bold and down the trash can it went into the most vile water you can imagine.
