There I was sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a really big, trouble-making biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig. "Well, whatcha gonna do about it?" he says, menacingly, as I burst into tears.  "Come on, man," the biker says, "I didn't think you'd CRY. I can’t stand to see a man crying."   "This is the worst day of my life," I say. "I'm a complete failure. I was late to a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen and I don't have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my old lady in bed with the gardener, and then my dog bit me. So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all, I buy a drink, I drop a capsule in and sit here watching the poison ...

Is it any wonder that as women we have such misplaced expectations of the opposite gender?   The notion of “Prince Charming” fostered by all the fairy tales we grew up with practically ensures “Relationship Failure” in adulthood.    Take Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for example:  Gorgeous Prince Charming just whisks by and gives her that magic kiss that wakes her up from the dead and they live happily ever after, or do they?    Where was Prince Charming when Snow White needed help?  He was probably at the gym primping up…  As for me, I wish that Snow White had ended up with Happy, Dopey or Doc.  Prince Charming’s enticements can only last so long; after a while, you are left with the substance of a man...  His character, loyalty and dependability suit a girl a heck of a lot better...

As a young girl I was cruel to ants.   I used to get a piece of candy all nice and gooey, then spit it right next to an ant hill.  I watched as the ants rushed to garner all its sweet juices.    When the candy was full of ants, I used to put my magnifying glass on them and wait.  Pretty soon the sun would do its magic and set a few of the ants on fire.  Once in a while an ant tried to flee the heat.  I used to keep the bean of light on it while it stumbled along, trying to get away.  The magnifying glass always won.   I am not very proud of my ant destruction antics, but I did learn one thing from the experience:  in order for the burn to occur, I had to keep the magnifying glass in place over the same ant for prolonged periods of time.  If I moved it even for a few moments, the magic...

The Flip has been all the rage and I was going to buy it, but I didn't like a lot of things about it.  I wanted the memory card to be replaceable, and the flip did not provide that feature.  I also wanted more options like zooming and image stabilization, which the flip did not confer.    I finally found all that I was looking for and more, in the new, adorable, little SANYO Xacti E1 camcorder.  Tiny, tiny and in a cool turquoise color (hey, don't laugh, I'm a girl and these things do matter to me!),this little wonder fits in the palm of my hand and it does the work that other bulky cameras can't even touch.  It zooms big time.  The images are sharp and clear.  It is extraordinarily easy to use.  It records everything on a standard flash disk that you can just pop right into your lapto...

For those of you not familiar with the movie "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" here is the scoop:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Shoot_Horses,_Don't_They%3F   After my own personal marathon, I feel like someone needs to put me out of my misery.  This week just about did me in.  I wrote and received over three million dollars worth of offers, and none of them have come to fruition.  Disappointed clients and 16 hour days spent working for naught.  I sincerely gave it my ALL.  It was beyond INTENSE...    I have a big, fat zero to show for all my efforts!  Zilch...  Nada...   I've had weeks like this before.  Here is how I usually deal with them:    •1.     I write down a synopsis of each deal.  I critique myself.  I look at every angle and ask myself the hard question: "what could I hav...
