It was 100 degrees Friday and I thought I would melt.  I stopped at the grocery to pick up a few things and noticed this older couple lock there dog in the car, and walk in the store leaving a small crack in the window.  I told them it was dangerous and they looked at me like I was crazy.  It told they every nicely that it was 100 degrees outside and they could kill there pet leaving it in the car. They said they never realized it could get that hot and the man went and took the dog out while his wife picked up there few items, still when I was leaving he was still sitting waiting on her!  I am sure that dog would die if he was left in the car as long as they were at that store.  Please leave the dog at home, he would be better off.  On top of that itis illegal and you could go to jaii....

My kids and friends went to Florida for a week of fun the day my son graduated high school.  i ended up getting more rest than I thought, because the first 5 minutes out of the car I stepped on a nail and cut my foot really bad, I was on pain medicine and antibodics for a week!.  I ended up buying the most expensive pair of flip flops I have ever worn," Niki" because they were the most comfortable thing I could get on my foot.  So I limped around Port Orange for a week, dodging heavy rain and lightening.  We caught up on stories and talk time and enjoy lots of food!! We had plans to go to Universal, but I couldn't do the walking so we promised to take the kids to Six Flags next week when I am able to walk without wearing out!  So we did get to spend time with Matt.  His girlfriend only ...

My son Matthew graduates in 3 short days.  We have tried to give some thought to all the advice we wanted to give him as he starts a new part of his life.  Matthew's name means "A Gift From God" and he has truly been one!  He has kept me and God tight in prayer since the name he was born!.  I say this not as a joke, but in truth.  My son walked at 9 months old and has been way ahead of his age since.  He always did those first things way ahead of the baby book.  Matthew goes through life at the rate of speed.  A little ADD, but extremely smart.  So he keeps you on your toes.  His favorite words were I need and I can do it, and he does!  We are so proud of Matthew, he has decide he wants to go into the Air force, he wants to sail through the clouds and be as close to God as he can.  It i...

I am so thankful that I have a closing Monday on my Golf Course property.  I have babied this thing all the way to the last week and have jumped every hurdle known.  These days you really have to work hard for the closing, and this is cash sale!!  I am on both sides of the sale so it is hard to make sure I keep everyone happy and remain very neutral.   I have a wonderful broker and terrific company I work for.  I am very thankful I work for a christian company that cares about there Realtors.  It really pays to trust God and work for a company that cares more about there people than money! www.kathysellsgreenville.com

Through faith and prayer my family has made it through a lot of tight and frustrating times.  I now know that God was preparing us for the way the world has gone.  My kids are content with what they have and are not having the hard time with being happy with what they have.  God has taught our family to be happy with what we have.  We prayed through every need and thank him for our blessings.  I feel so fortunate to have made it through the last few years with total dependence on God. i guess I got into Real Estate at the last of the good times and never experienced a huge loss as others. But by counting on God I have meet every need and them some. Our family is content with what we have and are at peace with the worlds problems. Because I know that God is in Control and he will see us ...

Matt was to fly out of Greenville today at 4 and at 6:45 he is still there.  i would have ran when they announced they were having maintenance issues, not Matt he is in for the long haul.  Did I mention his return flight is 12pm tomorrow!  He might want to just stay on the plane!  Please keep him in your prayers!  HE is my stubborn child. it is going to make him or break him!  He was going on a  $19 flight special on Alginate for a concert with friends and coming home the next day, guess his only entertainment will be the fights in the airport.  Please do keep him in your prayers!  While your at it please pray for my patients with a very stuborn 18 year old, who loves God with all his heart, but is driving his parents crazy!!!!

What a wonderful day!  It was 70 degrees and sunny all day and you can just feel spring in the air. New life, new things and hope!  That is what we all need is a big dose of hope!  Today at a meeting we were told that the market is starting to move in the upstate.  My phone has began to ring again, and I have buyers coming in from FLA next week.  Hopefully we can get off the economic slump and get back to business.  But we must learn from our mistakes and change the way we do business.  No more good old boy system, It is rare to get a second chance. So what are you willing  to do different?  We all fall short  of expectations and GODS grace, but if we realize our mistakes and move forward in a positive and honest way things will get better!  The golden rule really does apply in business...

I know times are tough, but if you make a appointment to show a listing please call if you are not going to show!  One of my clients waited yet again 2 hours and a no show!  Things come up, clients don't like the neighborhood and often you just run out of time, all these are acceptable reasons!  However you need to call the listing agent so she can let the seller know. They have lives to, and they choose not to put a lock box on the door for a reason!  Also I would love feedback, so I can tell my clients what you thought of the listing.  It really might help them!  The Golden Rule really does apply in business too!  IF the price is out of range they might take it better from a potential buyer offering what they have compared it to.  Times are hard and we can help each other if we just p...

Tomorrow is a great time to put things off to,the only problem is sometimes tomorrow is forgotten or never comes.  Why wait, tell your family and friends how you feel about them. Give the hugs and tell everyone I love you.  I have seen to many tomorrows never come because something else comes up,then you think I will get to it tomorrow.  Time flys, people change and often the chance is never there .  If there is something important on your mind please take care of it today, what if your tomorrow never comes.  A friend of mine is really sick and she has been writing letters to her kids , just in case her tomorrow never comes, she put little notes in the he Christmas decorations that are being put up for a year.  She is writing to her kids about precious moments coming in there lives.  Is...

My kids have ask me a million times this week, what do you want for Christmas.  What I want money can't buy!  I want our family to make many memories, to enjoy each other over the Christmas week and have fun together.  I want tons of happy memories of my family!  This year it is our turn to host the family dinner.  Between my family and my husbands we expect 24 for dinner.  I love the challenge and the excitement of a big family, and my kids are eager to help, so I am getting ready for a crowd.  In the middle of it all we are going to have my sons 18th birthday party.  Christmas Eve we plan to go to church and celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Because jesus is the reason for Christmas.  So I don't care about the gifts I look forward to the fun and the time with my family. I wish you and yo...

My son turns 18 tomorrow.  It seems like only yesterday  he was born. He was a true Christmas miracle born only days before Christmas.  Christmas was so crazy, a newborn and Christmas in the same week.  He came home on Dec 21st, and was the best Christmas gift my husband and I could have asked for. He only slept 2 hours at a time and had his nights and days mixed up from day one!  Everyone flock to see this new born baby, the first grandchild in over 10 years!  My mom was beside herself trying to do Christmas and a new grandmother at the same time. Family  insisted on seeing the new baby, and It drove my husband crazy, he was so worried someone would come by that had been sick, boy did he screen guest!  But this child brought great joy to our family. I remember sitting by Matthew's firs...

The angle tree at Sun Trust in Travelers Rest SC still has about 50 names on the tree.  I picked out 2 kids and my kids and I had a great time Saturday giving back to those who would not have a Christmas.  We all have been hurt by the  fall of our economy.  My family and I have really cut back and spend only when we need to, and this is something we needed to do.  We had a great time looking for bargains.  We were able to get 2 toys and 2 outfits a piece . My kids are teenagers and they just could not think of the little ones with nothing for Christmas. God has blessed us, and he wants us to help others.  Please find a family  that needs you and give back. There are Angle trees and places needed your help today.  I know  money is tight, but the smallest of gifts will leave you with some...

My husband Rick and I just celebrated our 27th anniversary yesterday!  Time fly's, babies grow up to teens and time around us seems to fly by at a rapid speed.  Hard to believe two very young adults said to death to us part 27 years ago.  Those vows have never altered and we have seen each other through some very hard times.  One year my mom died of Pancreas Cancer and the next week my wonderful husband broke his back in 3 places.  Rick had been helping me care for my very sick mom, he never told me his back was hurting , and always helped me lift her, that is love when you sacrifice your back for your mother in law.  A week later he couldn't move and X-rays showed 3 blown disks,5 surgeries later my husband was still in terrible pain.  We almost lost everything, but my brother, friends ...

I really love Christmas and enjoy all the things this special holiday brings, but I really wished people felt it was OK to say Merry Christmas!. Seasons greetings or Happy Holidays just doesn't seem to be special enough for Christmas.  For Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.  Not a time to spend tons of cash or a time to make bigger sales.  Christmas is a special time to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  The trees are beautiful and the lights are magical, but Jesus is the reason for this season.  So when they say Happy holidays, my family and I respond Merry Christmas.  Last year my daughter  made a point of saying Merry Christmas  to everyone she greeted, a few really got upset when she would not say Happy Holidays, in one store a clerk said they were not allowed to say Me...

A classmate of my kids got killed last week in a tragic car accident, which could have been prevented if he had just listened to friends.  This kid had a thing for speed.  Several friends had warned him, one only the night before had told him to let him out of the car, he was terrified with the speed this kid was driving.  So at 1:30 pm the day before Thanksgiving he had his last experience with speed.  He was traveling at 100 mph and had a flat. This sent the car into a series of 5 flips and into a highpower utility pole, killing himinstantly.  Instead of Thanksgiving the family had to plan a funeral. I saw a picture of his car it looked like a C shaped piece of metal, you could not even tell what kind of car it was.  So please if you see a kid speeding, tell his parents, get a tag or ...
