Chenoweth - Spring 2012 Market Report The Chenoweth subdivision has shown remarkable consistency in the past year. Sales show a down number but when so few houses sell in a neighborhood, one needs to look at the bigger picture. Looking through to the sales in July and August, both years show 7 total sales.   # Sales List Price Sales Price  DOM 2011 4 $542,850 $513,693 83 2012 3 $523,100 $488,166 77 % Change 5% -4% -5% -7% The prices also appear to have decreased but the true story is that the average square footage of the homes sold in 2011 was 4100 and that decreased to 3724 in 2012. The average asking price is $575,800 and the average square footage of the active listings is 4686.

Nashville Home Inspector - What's Wrong With This Picture? 7-29-12 HINT:  Why is there a bucket under that pipe?  ANSWER:  Something is leaking!  It should not be there, unless of course it is needed.  So what can be the source of the leak.  Well, that white pipe looks suspicious doesn't it?  So, to fill in the missing pieces, you are standing in an attic looking down at the attic floor.  That white pipe is a plumbing vent pipe.  The kind that goes up through the roof and sticks out the top of the home.  Almost every home has them.  But whenever you poke a hole in the roof, you have to take measures to prevent leaks.  For these type of vents, a roof boot is used to surround the pipe as it goes through the roof.  See the picture below of this pipe as it goes through this roof.  What's wr...

Brentwood Tn - Nashville Electric Service (NES) is planning a power outage from Tuesday, June 19 at 7 p.m. to Wednesday, June 20 at 7 a.m. The affected area will be the business area on Franklin Road from Brentwood Place north to the old Murray Ohio building and in the Meadow Lake and Williamsburg subdivisions.  The traffic signals will be flashing during the night as usual.
