The Best Time to List Could Be Right Now The holidays are here and some people think that is at cross purposes with selling a home. The good news is that is could be an even better time to sell your home because it is the holiday season. Take a look at what actually happens in the minds of buyers and how that can help sellers get their homes sold.  People are generally happy during the holidays. They may be looking for that perfect home and call it their perfect Christmas gift. We don't want to disappoint. Some agents say December is their busiest month meaning buyers are buying. Another Sold Home in Farmington ClarksvilleAnother new home in Farmington Subdivision is closed. I am proud to have helped a relocating family find a home that meets their needs and lights up their eyes. 151 Overcrest Ct. is a beautiful home located in a cul-de-sac in the back part of the subdivision. The home is new and has many very desirable features. I particularly like the see-through fireplace between the dining and living room. It has a pretty picture window overlooking the covered back porch and open land in the back. This home has four bedrooms and 3 full baths.  A bonus room is upstairs and will be the place the children will hang out. The colors and decor are very tasteful with a pretty white kitchen.Lots of hardwood and tile floors give this home a nice clean look. Search hom...

280 Cheshire Dr., Clarksville TN 37043 Is SoldThe seller had this home looking market ready and when my buyer saw it she loved what she saw. It is a pleasure to work with buyers that take my professional advice and do what is necessary to navigate a smooth transaction. This Middleton Place home had many improvements added making it compete, neck and neck with new construction. The decor is tasteful including wood floors in the living room and hallway. Pretty cabinets in the kitchen and 2 pantries turned the buyers head. There are double sinks in both baths. A room was added at the back of the house which will make a nice dining room or possible sitting room. This is a 3 bedroom home with a full basement and two-car garage. This will give plenty of room for storage or a workout area. 280 C...

Open to the Public in Downtown CommonsIf ice skating is your sport and you have been wishing for a place to skate close to home then your wish has been granted. In Downtown Commons Clarksville, the seasonal ice skating rink opened the Friday after Thanksgiving and will be open until January 31st.It is going to be a hit in Clarksville and is totally the result of the hard work of Montgomery County's Mayor and the Two Rivers Company, a non-profit organization which is focused on bringing business and activities to Downtown Clarksville. There was a lot of controversy about the County being instrumental in  opening a park in the Downtown area. But as the County Mayor says, this is the heart and center of the county.Money raised will be used for maintenance other events and activities in the...

Small Business Saturday, November 25 in Clarksville TNSaturday, November 25th is Small Business Saturday in Clarksville TN. Small businesses struggle because they don't have the buying power of the big box stores. Help them keep their doors open and support their businesses. In Clarksville TN you can support small businesses by eating out, shopping and using small locally owned service companies. Take a look at some of my recommendations. The Roxy Regional Theater- This community and regional theater offers musicals and quality plays throughout the year. This weekend is a great time to buy season passes so you'll not miss a single show. All the shows at the Roxy are excellent productions and it's great entertainment. This is a creative idea for a special unique gift. The tickets are only...

Who Checks the Home Inspector's Work?I never like to hear the words, the home inspector should have found this. We realize, nobody is perfect and even a home inspector can miss obvious items. What do you do if an apparent repair issue is not reported by the inspector and now the day after closing the buyer discovers it? Should the inspector be held accountable? In my opinion, when a buyer pays several hundred dollars for a thorough home inspection, all obvious and even not so obvious repair issues should be discovered and listed on the report. Most buyers do not have the skill to be able to discern what is a real problem and what is not, therefore, they pass this responsibility on to someone trained and licensed to do it. That is the home inspector's job and what he is being paid to do. ...

We have had storms and winds and wide swings in temperatures the last few days. With Thanksgiving tomorrow I wanted to share a few things I am thankful for. For days I have been reading thankful posts and they have been a blessing to me. If you have written some of those posts and I have not yet commented, I will soon, I promise.I am thankful for the skies, the clouds, the sunsets, sunrises and the blues that surround the clouds. No matter if it is a clear day or threatening a storm, I can still appreciate the beauty and the ever-changing skies of Clarksville TN.They say, if you don't like the weather, just wait a few hours or a day or two and it will be totally different. Cold is on the way again and I will appreciate that too.

What's the Weather Like in Clarksville TN?In Clarksville TN you can expect to see four distinct seasons throughout the year. In the fall it is very mild with many warm days and cooler night. The colors are gorgeous. This fall is lingering with lots of color and sunshine. In winter, there are cold days with temps getting down into the single digits. We have very little snow which rarely becomes a big problem in Clarksville because we typically have only a couple of snows each winter season. December is the earliest you will see a snow accumulation. January there can be a good snow of 3 to 4 inches. I have seen snow as late as the first of April. Record-setting snowfalls approach 8 inches or more. The good news is you do not need snowblowers or heavy driveway scraping equipment. Schools a...

Stones Manor Clarksville, TN  I have been promoting this neighborhood for several years now. Part of my job was to take photos for the website and write copy to intrigue buyers. I helped build their website. The neighborhood has become very hot and homes are selling fast, very fast. Buyers are constantly driving through to see if there is a home for them. More new construction and new homes are coming soon and the prospective buyers are watching and waiting. There is one custom home, under construction and one new home. This entrance photo is used on the website and most of my posts about the neighborhood. I even use this on the Stones Manor note cards I send out.For more information on homes in Stones Manor, click here. There are plenty of building lots available so call for sizes and pr...

Live the Life of LuxuryThis is the pool and landscaped areas behind a luxury home I had listed for sale. The seller had added fountains, rock formations and a framework of the gorgeous landscape to accent the lifestyle and luxury of this million dollar home. Not captured in this photo was the greenhouse and garden shed used to keep the tropical gardens looking good. The home was custom built with beautiful features inside as well and tons of rooms. In addition, it had covered back decks, gazebo areas and gave the feel of a fine resort hotel out back. I am pretty sure this outdoor feature helped make the buyers decide to make it theirs. It sold after only a few months of being on the market at very close to list price. Million dollar properties are not the norm in Clarksville TN's real est...

Winning Attitudes, Winning CompaniesThe Best of Clarksville competition was held in early October and Century 21 Platinum Properties and Platinum Realty and Management won in 5 categories. What makes this company tick is the people and enthusiasm of all.The agents and staff came out in support and worked the booth, meeting new people and asking them to like our Facebook page for a little bribe of glow sticks,  glow rings and necklaces. In the selfie, I am on the left and Kristi Meeks from our property management division is on the right. Don't you just love our stylish glasses? We gave all the fun items away and had tons of fun doing it.Century 21 Platinum Properties opened in 2016 and now has 2 offices with a 3rd to open in the spring in Dover, TN.
