Since it snowed here yesterday, after the rain and sleet, I went out and took some pictures. Those are Trumpeter Swans! Swans in Jackson County Tennessee! I was very surprised. They are Huge! I played with this one some in photobucket to give it an older look. The beautiful rolling hillside of my sisters farm in Jackson County. Roaring River sure was roaring yesterday!

Since a good snow doesnt come along as often as I wish it would i thought that I would get out today nd take some pictures of it at local Cane Creek Park. The First picture is a picture of the lake. Its Frozen! But I wouldnt want to try and walk out on it. its only like an inch thick. As soon as iturned around and took this picture ^ my camera died and would not come back on! I was dissapointed to say the least. I was hopeing to walk around and get more pictures but that didnot happen. Maybe tomorrow.

I hope everybody had a good holiday! I hope that you got what you wanted for Christmas! We had the best time at my house Christmas eve. If was the first year that the adults got more presents than the kids. Most of the now adults where just kids a few years ago and they now have kids of their own. How time does fly! We had a big time with turkey, ham, shrimp, mashed "taters", my own homemade yeast rolls and home made fudge!   So heres to a great new year from me my grandbaby Parker and my wonderful hubby Marshall!

Sept the 17th I had a family member on what we thought was same day surgery and ended up having to have 6 hrs of surgery because of complications. during that time period of waiting to find out what was going on I was informed every hour what was going on and how the patient was. I was impressed with the professionalism and caring of these professionals. upon going to the 5th floor and spending the night we ended up with a student nurse. with my old profession being nursing I think the caliber of nurses being put out in to this hospital from Tennessee Tech is outstanding. They really impressed me. my hats are off to you Cookeville regional hospital and Thank you.

The tax assessor's office maintains a record of what they think is built on the property. If the assessor's records, and the reality of what is standing on the land is not in synch, ask the seller about the discrepancy. Back on the city's site, look for the city building or code enforcement office. See if building permits are available online, and whether or not they city maintains a LIST OF PROPERTIES with known code violations. If the seller says everything is fine, but you see that there is a room addition in back that never had a building permit, you could be walking into an expensive problem - one that you might have to solve after you close the sale. Demand that the seller get the property inspected by the city. If the seller balks - walk.  A sale of the property will more than li...
