Dangling participles are often funny. A good example of this is "Squished flat by Bubba's pick-up truck, Fluffy sniffed at what was left of the chicken finger." Well, lets hope that it was not Fluffy that was  squished flat by Bubba's truck. Anyway, this is a good example of a dangling participle. But how about dangling lights? Many unhandy homeowners are often looking for a quick fix to dark basements and attics never thinking of the potential electrical hazards that exist by leaving the light fixture in this condition. I have just come back from the REALTORS national conference.  Many great speakers bringing helpful info.  As usual, I learned a lot.  A couple of interesting items I wanted to share.  One is that houses are beginning to sell in areas that have been terribly down, Michigan, Florida, California.  They are selling for lower prices than they would like to be selling for, but their volume is slowing rising.  That is an encouraging word for the parts of the country that are just slower. We in Franklin, TN have lots of inventory that are great prices for buyers. People are buying houses.  They are looking at the affordability of housing and buying.  Some people would say that money and mortgages are unavailable.  That is not really the case at this time.  It may take a bit of hunting to find w... 11/11/2008

Wolfnet - All Keller Williams agents have access to a software product call Wolfnet, and what it does is make it easier for the agents or customers to make custom searches, and in my case actually see the selections on a map. Franklin real estate - We've all had this experience. We were looking at homes, and drive by a house that's for sale, but we don't have the information, and it doesn't have any flyers. In order to get information on the home, your choice is to call a realtor, or write down the address and look it up when you get home. A new tool called Voicepad will eliminate this problem. I know that times are tough in this challenging economy and people often hire unhandymen or make a stab at doing it themselves to save a few dollars. However, when the unhandy practices involve electricity and potential fire hazards, the savings are not too great.  While one of the inspectors for Complete Home Inspections, Inc was inspecting a property in the Franklin, TN area of middle Tennessee, this spliced plug onto the end of a section of NM-3 conductor wiring was cited in his report. No only is the splice unsafe, but the circuit ran to a power ventilator located next to the attic ridge vent. When the fan would come on, the air would be sucked in from the ridge vent thereby causing the attic to overheat.
