It seems that Americans are continuing to dream of homeownership, at least according to JPMorgan Chase’s recent survey. A total of 87% of those surveyed said owning a home is something they dream about. “Owning a home is at the heart of most Americans’ dreams,” said Kevin Watters, CEO of mortgage banking at JPMorgan Chase. “And people are saving as much as possible to achieve homeownership.” Of those surveyed, 66% believe housing is a good financial investment and 75% see it as a crucial part of raising a family. “Owning a home will not only give my husband and me pride and roots, but it will also bring pride in my children and respect from my friends and family,” said one respondent. Anne Elliott, who lives on Clamar in Towne Acres, will direct the Milligan College Women's Chorale in its spring concert, "Sing Into Spring," in a free concert open to the public, on April 26 at 7:30.   The concert will be in the Mary B. Science Hill High school in Johnson City Tennessee has been using Memorial Stadium since mid 1930's.  Memorial Stadium was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps. It was originally operated independently as "Roosevelt Memorial Stadium." The stadium came under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Recreation Department in 1961 and consists of a 6-acre football stadium used primarily for Science Hill High School home football games. Amenities include a lighted football field, concession area, restrooms, spectator seating, and 1/4 mile track. Memorial Park, adjacent to the stadium, is a 1/2 acre special use park located on Main Street. Dear Active Rain Friends,  I've been working on a growing collection of serendipities for my children, who are beginning to arrive for the weekend from Maryland and Virginia.   Some are posted in the Serendipity group.   Far more are in a thick folder - copies of emails that remind me ot them, letters and emails to people who were involved to help me be sure I'm remembering accurately, hand-written notes, various documents, etc. - not chronological and not organized, but stories I think are worth telling.   I'm trying to get them all into one document, then I'll sort them, edit - I don't know what I'll finally do, but they have given me a lot of pleasure.
