Timberlake Subdivision in Johnson City keeps coming up these days - several serendipities.    There are three properties on the market in Timberlake now, with another two coming on fairly soon.   As is usually the case in that neighborhood, there’s a fairly wide range – from just under $130,000 to almost $200,000.   There were ten sales in 2012, all with three bedrooms and two or three baths, except one that had four bedrooms and 1.5 baths.    Another is pending and one has closed already in 2013. Boones Creek Day and the Love Lavender Festival in Jonesborough tempted me today and I gave in – pleasant afternoon.    Hundreds of people turned out on a beautiful day to see all the crafts at Boones Creek Day, sponsored by the Boones Creek Historical Trust and other local organizations.   It was held on the grounds of Jennifer Reese's  Boones Creek Pottery Gallery, located appropriatelly in a rambling historic property on Boones Creek Road.        Of all the crafts people at Boones Creek Day, the one that really caught my attention was Deanna Carey, who displays “naturally beautiful handcrafted items”.    I commented on the fragrant lavender braided sachets, “I got some at a home on the Quilt Trail a couple of years ago.”      The first serendipity of the day was that my new friend  i... 06/09/2012

I’ve wondered why more agents aren’t sharing serendipities in the new Active Rain Serendipity group.   I mentioned this to my brother in California, Bob Alders, and he immediately thought of a couple.   His stories are not related to real estate, but maybe they'll prompt someone else to look back and see some - or better yet, to expect them. Character and history are two words to describe this lovely, quaint town in Tennessee. Jonesborough, Tennessee, to be specific.  The American flags flying along the streets, bands playing on Friday nights in front of the court house and local shops lining downtown Main Street.  It's just a delightful area to be a part of.  Jonesborough is a small community within the Tri-Cities.  A short 10 minutes drive to Johnson City and and major Interstate.   The Courthouse stands proudly in the center of town.
