One of the simplest methods to save money and energy is by changing out the incandescent light bulbs in your house for compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). These bulbs use about one fourth of the energy to emit the same amount of light as incandescent. CFL's also last about 10 times longer and use 75% less heat, lowering cooling costs during warm weather months. According to ENERGY STAR, changing just a single bulb in your home will save nearly $60 over the bulb’s lifetime. Since the average household has around 30 light fixtures, even though CFLs cost a bit more than traditional lights, their lifetime savings make choosing CFLs a no-brainer.   I hope you found this post useful!
