It's amazing how bombarded we have become over the last few months with prospective home buyers wanting to contact us in regards to purchasing homes in the Cleveland area. We all know that the Home Buyers Credit is due to expire very soon, and due to this a lot of people are scrambling to get in contact with an aggressive buyers agent. Last week was the River Counties Association of Realtors Annual Showcase in Cleveland Tennessee.  This venue allows us exposure to 100+ Realtors and we get to share our information with them.  We thoroughly enjoyed our two hours of networking and we are hoping for some new calls and jobs in the near future.   This year our booth was decorated to "shine."  Our movie theme was glittering with stars and candlelight, and of course a spotlight on our banner hanging above the table.  A friend let me borrow her "vintage-looking" popcorn machine and we filled bags labeled:  "Your listing "pops" with Ready 2 Stage.  We also gave out bottled water with our label attached--didn't want our salty popcorn to dehydrate them! Home Staging is about thinking outside the box...I'm sure you avid HGTV lovers have seen this project possibly.  It's really pretty simple.  I decided on an abstract nude, but you can use just about anything you want.  I also did a Large vase, that turned out pretty WOW.  I will try to do some photo cropping  to share this also.  Take a look....      First of all you decide on the art.  I found this online & printed a copy.  I then went to a print shop, and they made a projection film for me.   I'm ready to go..all I need now is the projector....Luckily I had a friend that had one.  I'm pretty sure you can find one to rent, at your local rental shop.   I first taped off the size, then I painted the white background.  I then projected the art on the wall.  I took an artist pencil and tra... 02/15/2010

Whew!  Today was quite a ride....first of all, it is extremely cold in Tennessee right now!  I began the morning having to get a boost from the hubby for the "Ready 2 Stage Mobile."  My battery was dead as a hammer! Our most recent staging job was a bit of an experiment.   A Realtor had a new listing that needed a bit of help, but they couldn't afford a full-blown staging.  The Realtor asked if we could do "Photo Staging"--bring in some accessories and stage JUST for the photos.  She (The Realtor) also wanted to pay at closing.  Having worked with her before and knowing that I could trust her, I thought that I would give it a try.   The week prior, I popped in to this little house for a quick 15 minute consultation to see what kind of accessories that I would need.  These homesellers had made some great updates to their home and had fairly nice furnishings and accessories to work with.   The following week, after coming up with somewhat of a plan, I threw a few accessories into the READY 2 STAGE mo... 11/06/2009

Recently a friend/client asked Ready 2 Stage Home Staging & Redesign to transform an 80's bedroom.  The walls were papered with Calico Country Cats!   She had chosen a new quilt  and wanted to build the room around it, saving a few of the "Cats" along the way.  Keeping in mind that the client loves color and art glass, we chose a color that would not compete with the quilt or her beautiful pieces.  The color is a soft green that we pulled from one of the squares in the quilt and gave the room a soft relaxing look. Keeping the antique furniture that needed to be included in the room, we knew that modern accessories would not work.  She had much to work with, so being in "Redesign" mode, we scoped out her entire house and pulled from each room. After a recent staging consultation by Ready 2 Stage Home Staging & Redesign, I returned to the Open House and took some "After" photos of the changes that the home sellers had made.  Our consultation was a suggestion and advice time only, they wanted to do it all themselves!  And they pretty much followed our advice about everything!
