No one knows.  But there is a way to prevent this from happening. Real Estate Market Report for Addison, Texas: September 2014   Residential Real Estate For Sale in Addison Texas   The total number of available residential properties for sale in Addison, Texas is 50 (up from 47 last month). Currently for sale, there are:   20 single family homes (but 4 are under contract, in option). No half-duplexes. 12 condos (2 in option). 18 townhomes (3 in option). 30 of the homes above have been on the market for longer than 30 days. The average number of days on the market for the “active” status homes is 75 days, up from 69 days last month. The number is skewed by the incomplete new construction at Meridian Square. Home sales in the Addison area were down 13% in May 2014 compared to last year, with 185 homes selling this month. So far this year, overall home sales have a decrease of 12% , with 663 homes sold. New Addison real estate listings decreased 5% from last year, with 256 homes listed this month. For the year-to-date, home listings have decreased 10%, with 1,001 homes listed. The number of current listings under contract this month was down 16%, at 182 homes. Listings under contract for the year-to-date have decreased 14%, with 775 homes under contract. Home sales in the Addison area were up 0% in June 2014 compared to last year, with 193 homes selling this month. So far this year, overall home sales have a decrease of 9% , with 860 homes sold. New Addison real estate listings increased 0% from last year, with 231 homes listed this month. For the year-to-date, home listings have decreased 8%, with 1,233 homes listed.
