In the past few weeks I had the opportunity to visit the Southern Living Showcase Home in Lago Vista, TX during a REALTOR event.  The home was simply lovely.  It was quite a surprise when I walked in.   I was expecting the same “Texas Tuscan” theme to run through it that so many of our Austin area homes possess.  Instead, I was greeted by a light, airy picture with more shabby chic than dark stone and leather.  I loved it! The home was built as a collaboration between Silverton Custom Homes and Henley Homes, Inc, with the help of well over 20 national and local partners, including Heather Scott Home and Design.  The furnishings were as beautiful as the finishes and they were consistent throughout – something that these collaborations sometimes fail to accomplish.
