I like David Weekley - I lived in one of their new homes for five years, and of the countless families I've helped buy new homes, they're probably one of the easiest builders to deal with. So when the Springs at Walnut Creek opened three years back, I was keen to see the craftsmen style homes popping up - and the sales staff pointed out that they were an alternative to Mueller - closer to tech employers than downtown perhaps, but quality homes built to standards that exceed the energy efficiency requirements of Austin new builds. Of course, at the time, these were the most expensive homes for sale in 78753 - North of Town, and on the least favored side of I35 near the infamous Rundberg area. But they were in a separate enclave and they were well thought out. So the sales progressed nice...
