In our crazy real estate market in Austin Texas it’s not just the resale market that has almost non-existent inventory it’s evident in our builder communities too.Many builders as they open a new phase have a waiting list which you need to be on to even have a chance for a home. Some are opening up bidding to those on the waiting list or it might be a lottery system. As you all know Texas got hit hard with a record smashing winter storm that knocked the socks off all of us. We lost power, water and were humbled by the experience of learning to put a hold on life and figure out how to exist. I was so elated this morning when I discovered water was able to flow from my faucets! It was sweet music to my ears. The first thing I did was place a call to Austin Home Check to see when I could get on their schedule for their “Post Storm Check.” They just had a cancellation from someone whose water hadn't been restored so they fit me in.
