What a great way to end the week with multiple offers on this trendy single story home in Canyon Creek at 10728 Chestnut Ridge Rd. We are headed towards inspections and then closing in mid July. Your browser does not support iframes. Buyers loved walking into this amazing top-of-the line kitchen ready to serve up drinks or cooking up a storm for family and friends. They loved the light filled open layout with high ceilings, sky lights, separate office/study and wide plank distressed wood floors. It's uncertain times right now but families need a home in Austin. Interest rates are historically low and we have officially entered our "Second Spring." Buyer demand is strong. Pending listings are outpacing new listings. Arriving at the age of 5 and being raised in Austin Texas, I consider myself very lucky. I love the town, the people, the food / music, and the active lifestyle. Having traveled all over, there is truly no comparison and no where else I'd rather call home. The secret about Austin is out, and people all over the world know about it now. On average, over 100 people a day move to Austin. If you have been a local for many decades like myself, the changes are everywhere and the traffic, well the traffic isn't what it use to be! Austin has recently been ranked as the number one metro area to live in this country (by U.S. News and World Report). Much is attributed to steady job growth, stable housing market, and the desirable lifestyle of the city.  Our booming tech industry has garnered the n...

There are quite a few equestrian friendly neighborhoods in the greater Austin area, and there are other properties that may not be located in a horse community, but are well suited for horses.  Obviously, the most important factor to consider when looking for an equestrian property is if the deed restrictions permit horses.  Once you ensure the property can legally have horses on it, you will want to make sure the property is suitable for horses too. When looking for an equestrian property in the greater Austin area make sure to consider these factors: Land - you will want to make sure you have enough land for the horse(s) to live, and you will also want to make sure the land is suitable for horses.  The general rule of thumb in Texas is 1 acre per horse.  However, not all acres are c...

It wasn’t a pretty picture in May with Shelter in Place going on and little to no inventory but the real estate market is heating up out there! Monthly stats right now might show a weaker than normal market, but once we get inside of June expect to see things look a lot different. It was so fun to catch up visiting with my brother and sister in law, Frankie and Nannette Saturday morning for breakfast at La Madeline's Bakery at the Arboretum. It was a delightful morning sitting on the patio and we were so glad La Madeline Bakery was open! Face masks going in and ordering and removing them at the table. Practicing social distancing of course. It was so nice to dine out again! We could have eaten inside but with the weather so pleasant we chose the patio dining. We visited for 3 hours and I could have stayed all day catching up! Frankie is Geno's brother and these two were our traveling buddies. We are thrilled for all the years we traveled and explored the world together because that wouldn't be on our agenda now.
