We take it for granted that Earth Day is celebrated every year.  However, back in 1970, taking time out to contemplate how to nurture instead of destroy the environment was a novel concept.  The idea of recycling, solar energy and electric cars were not in the public vernacular for the most part.  Today, reducing our carbon footprint is on the minds of the majority of people in the world.  College Station Earth Day 2016 offers many eco-friendly ideas that you can implement in your day-to-day activities. What: College Station Earth Day 2016Where: Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater (1015 Colgate)When: Saturday, April 23rd, 11am to 3pmAdmission: FREEContact: Brazos Valley Earth Day Contact FormCollege Station Earth Day 2016Several organizations have partnered up to bring the College Station Earth ...

One of the great things about College Station is our abundance of pretty parks.   The Wolf Pen Creek District is a popular area, and there are several condominiums very close to it. Woodstock, Wood Brook and Cripple Creek condos are all near enough to walk to it. You can stroll one of the paved trails with dozens of other locals. Walk your dog or go to an event at the amphitheater! This park is easily accessible from Dartmouth Street in College Station. There's plenty of parking, too!
