Here is Part Three of the spacious 2022 sq ft (per the builder) brand new home... and this final chapter features the Master Bedroom. As you can see from the picture below... the master bedroom is quite spacious.  Room enough for a huge bed and both a night stand on the left side, and a desk on the right side. Also shown below is a decorative table on the rear wall... with room to spare.  It's a perfect place for decorative accent pieces, or to display full flower or bud vases.                   As you can see below, that is a pretty good-sized table... similar to the type that decorators often place behind the sofa in either a living room or family room. Opposite the foot of the master bed (of mistress bed if you so choose) is a triple dresser... with lots of room to spare.  And... the...

After being totally blown away by the gourmet kitchen of this wonderful home, take a look at the Family Room, shown below. The view is from the kitchen... looking over the full-length serving/breakfast bar, and into the family room.  Notice the full wall of windows on the left side... which is the rear of the home.  On the other side of those windows is a very nice-sized covered patio... great for bar-be-que'ing all winter long... if you call what Fort Worth has... winter ?                      Also shown in the far left of the above picture is the wood-burning fireplace.  It is not simply a "show" fireplace, but actually burns real live wood... unlike some of the homebuilders in this same price range.  Also shown is the cast-stone mantle, surround and hearth... a great accent for the f...

I was showing homes to a very nice buyer today.  We were getting along very well... sharing concerns, asking and answering questions... and of course, pointing out all the great places to show while we were driving around. And then... we came to the coolest home.  And wow... did it have a kitchen that really makes you go WOW !                       The above picture is taken from standing in the family room... with my back to the back of the sofa... and looking into the "working end" of the kitchen.  I think it's safe for me to call this a "gourmet" kitchen.  Super natural wood stained cabinets... and the hanging cabinets are 42"... a really great height for cabinets.  The buyer just loved the medium cherry'ish stain, too.                       Above is another picture taken from the br...

When Looking For a New Home in Euless, Texas, homebuyers quickly find that there isn't much to choose from.  There is so little land left in Euless, that even if a builder finds vacant land to build on, the prices of the homes are often so far out of reach that many new home buyers simply cannot afford them. To Remedy that Problem, three years ago Lennar Homes built Oakridge Estates.  Oakridge Estates is located just south and west of the intersection of Highway 157 and the Airport Freeway.                                   Pictured below is one of Lennar's most popular floor plans, the Fairfield model.  It is one of three different one-story plans in Oakridge.  It measures approximately 1846 sq ft, and has three large bedrooms, two baths, a great kitchen with wrap-around serving bar, b...

In canvassing a neighborhood, I saw a 2 story home with almost 2000 square feet near the park and school.  It has been on the market for over 1 year.  The original price was $153,000 and now it dropped to $125,000. The home is in Park Glen and in the Keller ISD .  Address Fort Worth 76137 My question is WHY?  If we have low rate rates in the 5% range.  You have a beautiful well maintained home vacant with every thing  for it.  What is wrong? I spoke to several neighbors in the area.  They say, if that home can not sell, then neither will mine, and I saw many homes in the subdivision in the same predictament but not as long. What is wrong?  Rates are not the answer;

If you've been thinking about taking advantage of the $8,000 tax credit that your Uncle Sam and Aunt Samantha are just itching to give you... this is a great home to use it on. In fact... it just might be interesting enough to get you off the couch and on the road to home ownership.                        Four great bedrooms await you... and NONE of them are teeny.  Just about everything in this home is over-sized.  The master is huge, and with the sizes of bedrooms two, three and four... you won't have to worry about the kids fighting with each other about who gets stuck with the dinky smallest bedrooms. The country kitchen is over-sized, and opens into both the breakfast/morning room, and the family room.  The rear yard is nice and roomy... even larger than the typical two-story rear ...

On the last day of the month, it's time for another Fort Worth Best Buy !  What a pretty home !  The covered front porch makes for such a warm invitation to company as they come up the front walkway. This great two-story can be built with either three, four or five bedrooms.  The three-bedroom version is $153,950.  The four-bedroom adds just $450 to the price, and so does the fifth-bedroom.  So... for five full bedrooms... the price ends up at $154,850.  Incredible !            The family room is huge.  So is the kitchen.  All open and homey, with a real country-kitchen feel.  Sometimes it's the small touches that make a home.  On this one... the front porch and the two coach lights on either side of the garage give such an inviting appearance. For your very own personal tour of this ho...

To any and all West Fort Worth apartment renters:  When you look out your apartment window after a long, tiring day at work... do you see anything like this ? If you are paying monthly rent of $900 or more... how would you like to be able to come home from work... climb out of your work clothes, slip into something more comfortable, step out on your rear covered patio of your brand new home... and have a view like this ?  Yes... a view like this... and total monthly HOUSE payments of right around the same amount of your apartment rent.                      The post you see is the left brick post on the covered rear patio on a really great home that has just "hit the market."   Once again... here is another view from the rear covered patio.  Notice... there's nothing out there but trees,...

Could It Be ?  Yes... this super home... all 2,022 sq ft of it... is priced at $151,990... and is slowly nearing completion. And... it's such a lot of home for the money.  It's in an area of west Fort Worth where most of the homes are on more narrow building lots... but this home comes on a lot that is actually ten feet wider than is typical for this price. This four bedroom, two bath home is exceptional.  The Master Suite has a split-master arrangement... with the master suite at the rear of the home.               The master bath has both a garden tub and a separate stall shower... and a huge walk-in closet... plus an additional linen closet.  Very nice. The gourmet kitchen has oodles of cabinets and counter space... with an extra-wide breakfast/serving bar that opens to the Family Ro...

Could It Be ?  Could this actually BE too much home for the money ?  Ummm... so, what's missing ?  Maybe the price of $151,990 only includes the front half of the house ? Noper.  It's just a lot of home for the money.  And... in an area of west Fort Worth where most of the homes are on more narrow building lots... this home comes on a lot that is actually ten feet wider than is typical for this price. Because I try and keep current with all of the new home builders... every once in awhile I come across a really great home... at a really great price... that surprises even ME ! Take a peek at one of my favorites below.  Pictured is part of the family room... looking into the kitchen/breakfast bar on the rear left... and just a smidge of the three-walls-of-windows breakfast area/morning room on the rear right.             Below is a better close-up of the breakfast room/morning room.  What a great place to have either your weekday morning coffee as you try and wake up for work... or enjoy a relaxing weekend breakfast/brunch when you finally have time to "take your time."             This home is probably going to be a first home for most folks.  Either that... or a nice downsize home on...

This is what makes it so satisfying to be a home stager. Today I got a call from the realtor. In less than ten days since I staged this home, they have received not one, but three offers for this property. Woohoo! Now there was nothing wrong with this home. It has a gorgeous updated kitchen and lush private backyard. But it has been on the market since November of 2008. Before it was open and open to interpretation! After there's a space for dining and entertaining! While I was previewing it with the realtor before staging, the home was being shown. The potential buyers actually asked me how I would arrange furniture in the main living space. Although the space was nice and open there was no recognizable area for a formal dining or eat in space. After I explained what I would do if I st...

It's rare to find a home that is at the same time a great home to move UP to, and also a great home to DOWNSIZE to.  So, Surprise, Surprise !  Take a peek ! Three very nice-sized bedrooms... the master is 18 x 15.  The bedrooms are in a "split master" arrangement, so the owner's suite has great privacy.  The master bath suite has both a garden tub, and a separate stall shower... complete with it's own seat.  So... if you want to bring your umbrella into the shower, and then sit down and read a magazine while showering... this is the shower for you ! Also... the master closet has one of those "ceiling seasonal rods" which makes it easy to shift your winter clothes way up to the top... out of reach until winter sets in. Bedrooms two and three are 12x11 and 11x11.  None of those skimpy 10x...
