I am a highly trained professional. And I know what you're probably thinking -- doesn't every inspector say the same thing? -- However, I am actually the only Third Generation Home Inspection in the industry... at least as far as I know and I have asked. Yes... that's right... the only one... my grandfather was an inspector; and my dad, who some of you know (Mike Crow), and now I am doing inspections and loving it. As a matter of fact, I walked my first room at about the age of 6 and have been learning about houses ever since. So if you are looking for an inspector that has been highly trained (by both my dad and granddad) and has been in the business his whole life, then I am your inspector. And I want you to know that I enjoy this business... And I enjoy working for You or your friend...

It was an absolutely gorgeous day in Fort Worth today so we decided to go to the Main Street Arts Festival to mingle with the thousands of other people who also thought it was too pretty to stay inside. The Arts Festival is an annual event that brings artists from all across the country to show their art pieces. There's everything from paintings and sculpture to pottery. There were several handmade leather shops (very pricey) and of course my favorite...jewelry! Couldn't get hubby to THATbooth! Whenever I am looking for a great way to relieve the stress that can pry it's way into my brain and my tired body... after a particularly nasty day at work... I often find that taking a walk in the park will do wonders. When I lived in Mentor, Ohio, which is near Cleveland, I would take a drive out into the countryside, and stop at one of the many parks that encircled the entire Greater Cleveland area.  I'd park the car, take a small picnic lunch with me, and off I would go.  Small creeks usually wound their way through most of the parkland, and walking along the banks was something that just soothed my entire being. I'd either find a park bench to rest on, or perhaps a nice grassy area to sit down on, and... with my back up against a tree... I'd slowly eat my picnic lunch.  Cleveland i...

Fortune Magazine has named Fort Worth as a "Launching Pad for New Business.""Students interested in starting a business will not have to go far to find a start.Fortune Small Business recently ranked Fort Worth the ninth-best place in the nation to "live and launch" a business. One of the things I enjoy doing... is snooping... or maybe "scouting" is a better word... scouting around all the new home neighborhoods that are pretty well sprinkled all around the Fort Worth area. Today I came upon two new models... that are a pretty exciting "find"... in my opinion.  I've got some preliminary pictures that I want to share.  The models aren't quite finished yet... that's why you see a lovely (?) truck in front of one of the models... but I was so excited... I wanted to get them online as soon as I could. Here is the first of those two model homes.  This looks like it is really going to be a great one story home.  I really like the way it is set up inside.  Great floor plan arrangement. As you enter, there is a cool room at the right of the entryway... great for a den...

The population continues to grow in North Texas, and that puts you in the prime area in which to be a real estate professional.  Dallas-Fort Worth placed among four other areas in the Texas as the nation’s top 10 growing cities.  Census Bureau estimates recently released show that we added more than 162,000 residents between July 2006 and July 2007, more than any other metro area in the state.  Houston, Austin and San Antonio also placed in the top 10.  Remember, REAL ESTATE IS LOCAL.   People move to our area because of the strong local economies, cost of living,  and the fact the have some of the most affordable housing the country.  A report earlier this month by Global Insight found that housing prices in our area are undervalued by as much as 30 percent.  This allows homebuyers mo...
