Texas is known for several things, one being "warm" summers. At Cimarron Hills, even the warmest weather is no match for a refreshing 25-meter lane swimming pool. Dive in and enjoy your right to cool off Texas-style. And there's nothing quite as satisfying as lunch on the pool terrace after a brisk swim. Or if you'd prefer to break a sweat rather than wash one away, a state-of-the-art fitness center, five tennis courts and three miles of hike and bike trails are ready and waiting for you to enjoy. For more information, please call 512.763.1800 or visit CimarronHills.com.

The clubhouse complements the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course perfectly at Cimarron Hills. Eighteen holes of heaven, the course was named one of the "Best Courses in Texas" by Golf Digest. And it's no wonder, considering the native trees, rolling hills and water features that make the course as beautiful as it is challenging. And with new men's and women's locker rooms and pro shop, your time inside the facility just might rival your time on the course. David Singleton, President of a company building a new kind of development in Georgetown, Texas, has recently been going public with a project that I've been hearing about through the grapevine for quite some time.  I had a delightful phone conversation a while back with the gentleman who's planning it.  Goodwater is planned for the former site of the Adkins Ranch on 195 at Shell Road/County Road 143.  The vision that was described to me for the 600-acre subdivision consists of several neighborhoods, surrounding a man-made lake (currently under construction, based on what I see when I drive by the site daily), each neighborhood consisting of a diversity of home styles and prices, from first-time homeowner homes built in bungalow style to three story brownstones with living quarters in t...

Do you like lazy, sleepy towns with an underlying current of different activities, assorted amenities and upwardly mobile everything? Then Georgetown, Texas is the place for you to be. Relocate to the small town atmosphere with everything you would ever need close by. There is Lake Georgetown - swim or sail, Sun City, Tx for the most active seniors I have ever seen, Wolf Ranch for extensive shopping, Round Rock Outlet Malls, new Scott and White Hospital and Seton Hospital within minutes. Enjoy the trees and greenery. It is a great place to live.

What a wonderful place to live! If you love a place where it is peaceful, safe and you can be a kid again then Sun City Texas is the place you want to visit. This community is like a little town within a metropolitan area. It has everything from it's own bank, hair salon, dentist, convenience store, chiropractor to a golf cart store and restaurants. Not to mention it also has a fitness center, 3 pools, tennis courts, 2 golf courses and any kind of activity you could possibly want to be involved in. Did I mention peaceful? Everywhere you look it is pleasing to the eye. Beautiful landscaping, nature trails and flowing streams create a wonderful backdrop to this treasured way of living. Did I mention peaceful? If you have not been to see this community, it is well worth the trip. It is still...

Want a sleepy town atmosphere?  Georgetown, Tx is the place to be. A very close knit community with a lot happening.  Seniors over 55 are flocking to this laid back town that has all the amenities, shopping and local flavor restaurants.  Sun City, Tx located in Georgetown was formerly started by the Del Webb Co. but now is owned by Pulte Homes. Nothing has changed - you've still got golf courses, 3 swimming pools, wood shop, entertainment all the time, dances, events and more.     If you love trees, lakes, new shopping center (Wolf Ranch), new Cinema and more check out Sun City, Georgetown, Tx

There has not been a better time to live in Georgetown. We are on the verge of seeing it really blossom into all it's potential yet still have the small town feel. If you have not explored the area this is a great time to see it. In the case of Georgetown Texas growth is good. Attitude is everything. It can make or break you.

It is amazing to me that the stock market and the housing market can be manipulated by the press to such a point that both can change overnight just by the printed word.

The market in Sun City right now is a buyers market due to the large amount of inventory on the market. So, buyers, now is your time! This is something that can change overnight to a sellers market. Once the inventory goes down it will turn into a seller's market.Seller's need not fear. Homes are on the market an average of 4 months if priced right and in good shape. Do not let the news media cause you to fear. They sensationalize on one particular area of the market not the market in Georgetown, Texas.Just remember to be patient, there is a perfect home for you.

Serenada continues to be a hot community in Georgetown.  Looking at this year's sales statistics as compared to last year -- we're up ~$12/sqft.  Last year in May - June homes were hovering at the $88/sqft.  This year, we're looking at ~$100/sqft.  In fact, some of the smaller homes in Serenada are fetching upwards of $116!So -- what gives?  Well, the west side of Georgetown is experiencing significant growth.  It almost seems as though all of Williams Drive is under construction.  Serenada was the first executive neighborhood built in Georgetown -- beginning back in the 1970s.  So, you will find all custom homes -- and many are on .5 acre lots or more.  With acre lots now going for $145,000 in Estrella Estates (adjacent to Serenada), it sure makes the Serenada homes appealing: a custom...

Georgetown Texas established in 1848 and where Southwestern University was built in 1873 and the railroad in 1878. These two things contributed greatly to the growth and importance of the community. Today Georgetown is the County seat for Williamson County( 2006pop. 353,830). Population of Georgetown in 1980 was 9,468, in 1990 it was 14,842, and in 2000 it had grown to 28,339. Currently there is probably over 45,000.The Old Georgetown Jail built in 1888The lawlessness of the old west prompted city fathers to build a jail to house the outlaws and unruly cowboys or railroaders. So the decision was made to build a fortress like Jail made of limestone. After 119 years The old Jail still stands and is now open for tours. As you go through it you will actually see toothpaste and other things ...

April 28th and 29th, Georgetown, Texas, celebrates the coming of Spring with their annual Red Poppy Festival.  In anticipation, poppy seeds are planted all over town, by city officials and townsfolk alike.  In addition to admiring the flowers, the festival will have (big surprise, this being Central Texas) live music, the 3rd Annual Red Poppy Ride (benefiting the Sertoma Scholarship Fund), and lots more fun and frivolity in honor of the Red Poppy and spring, from 6 a.m. until whenever the street dance ends on Saturday night (it starts at 9:30), and from 11 a.m. until the last act ends (it starts at 4:00) on Sunday. So come on to downtown Georgetown and party with us!
