For many years The Dixie Chicken has been College Stations’ most famous watering hole. Located right across from campus on Northgate, The Dixie Chicken offers good food, good beer and a good time. May 10th and 11th, 2008 was not only the annual Spring Parade of Homes in the Bryan College Station area.  It was also the Builders Fair at King Oaks in Grimes County.  Representing Century 21 Beal, Inc. was Steve Thomas.  Some of the other companies involved were Culligan Water (James Garner), KB Septic (Kenneth Butts), Farm Bureau Insurance (Jessica Bundren), and Advanced Tree Care (Larry Finch).   Buppy's catered the 2-day affair which saw several hundred visitors touring the development and the construction.  Two houses were on the Parade of Homes Tour-one by Texas 3 Builders (Russell Oliver, builder and Steve Thomas, Realtor), and one by Taute Construction (Bill Taute, Builder).  The weather was absolutely beautiful and brought more light to the beautiful development and it's close...
