Holiday Community Sing-along at Katy Texas ChurchSunday December 9, 2012 St. Peter’s United Methodist church will present their annual Messiah Sing-along accompanied by a full orchestra and the Church’s Chancel Choir. The program will take place in the sanctuary and will begin at 7 PM. St. Peter’s Church is located at 20775 Kingsland Dr. Katy Texas. Many folks love to include music and or singing in their Holiday celebrations and for some folks Handel’s Messiah is a necessity to attend and listen to the beautiful music. The entire community is invited to attend as  either a singer or a listener. Music score will be provided on a first come and fist basis but based on the size of the audience in past years it is advised to bring your own score if you plan to sing. Katy Texas Thomas A. Glazier Senior Center Holds two ClassesThe Thomas A. Glazier Senior Center is holding two useful classes in early December for Harris County Texas residents age 55 and over. The Center is located 16600 Pine Forest lane Houston Texas. I recently wrote a blog about a class being held at this center. The first class is being conducted on Friday December 7, 2012 from 1-3PM and it will cover basics of IPhone usage. Participants can bring an IPhone with them but it is not required.   Photo Walking Riding in Katy Texas Last Monday evening I bought a hybrid bicycle from Academy Sports and Outdoors so I could get exercise by riding through our neighborhood and close neighborhoods to Grand Lakes. I think even my family was  (is) skeptical about me really using the bike and they were thinking it would become another item stored in our overstuffed garage.  So far so good as I have ridden this bike at least 5 times since it was bought and I spent about 50 minutes out on the bike yesterday. I even bought a light as most of my available time will be during the early evening. Some of my Active Rain friends express concern about me being sighted wearing a skin tight yellow spandex outfit.
