Breaking News! Katy/Rosenberg - Dog of the Week ADOPTED!!  I published this past week a post concerning my Dog of the Week available for adoption. His name is Dexter ID 9677. I spent a fairly large amount of time with Dexter last Saturday as I am a volunteer at the Fort Bend County Animal Services Animal Shelter in Rosenberg TX. I hoped by making him my Dog of the Week he would get adopted. I also posted his information from the Shelter’s web site on other social media sites using their system. In addition, I also posted a article about the Shelter holding a Pet Holiday Photos with Santa on this past Friday as the event was held yesterday December 17, 2016. I included Dexter’s picture that I took. Dexter was traumatized and very scared when I first saw him in his pen last Saturday. He i...

Almost Wordless Wednesday : So Many Wines and So Little Time! Since it is the Holiday and Christmas season I thought i would post something less serious today. Due to fairly heavy rain in the whole area the Katy Old Fashioned Christmas was rescheduled to Saturday December 17, 2016. I have copied my prior post and updated it for this change. I did post December 3, 2016 concern about the event being held due to the bad weather. Simple Solution for Eyelid Allergy Attack Last Tuesday, I had to make an eye doctor appointment as my eyelids were constantly bothering me. I felt like I was being stuck with a small pin in my eyelids! Yolanda looked at my eyes on Tuesday morning and told me the eyelids looked bad. She said in no uncertain terms, I needed to go to the eye doctor as soon as possible. Of course I moaned that I did not have time. I knew she was correct and I had made the appointment on the way to work.  Our eye doctor fit me in at 1 PM for an appointment which at least that day was an excellent time. I easily found a parking spot . Finding a spot is usually a huge pain and a luck game. This medical group being the Houston Eye Associates has over 50 doctors all involved with eyes issues and numerous patient...

Raining Across Katy/Houston Area Today It has been raining across the whole Katy/Houston area which started sometime last night. The forecast for today called for a 100% chance of rain. That forecast is seldom made. I have been in my car driving in a torrential storm and the weather people here were saying 50 % chance of rain. Go figure. I have been getting coastal flood alerts for the last 3 days on my I-Phone. The rain has not yet been of that kind of nature as of now.  I telling everyone about the weather as yesterday I posted about the Old Fashioned Christmas in Old or Historic Katy which is supposed to be held today with Santa and snow arriving at noon and Christmas Tree Lighting this evening. I am not sure what will  happen as this event is held outside. I will try to see if some ...

Signs in the Forest - You Never what You Will Find! During early September 2016 we were very lucky to travel from Katy TX to both Germantown NY and New York City. One morning we all took a hike in the woods that surround our friends two homes. After all this election mumbo jumbo that went on for months on end plus the election aftermath of protests I thought a little less serious stuff should be in order today.   I have always said let sleeping Bears lie.. Reality is Bears are very light sleepers and can tell immediately when someone or something is near them..   It is always a good thing to know how far you are from Austin, TX!    Signs in the Forest - You Never what You Will Find!
