PAPERWORK!!!  I am not a big fan of paperwork.  For me, I would rather spend my time with people but anything having to do with Real Estate will always involve tons of paper which can lead to Paperwork Roadblocks.  If you were to combine all of the paper that is used in each transaction, it would probably add up to a couple of reams.  Hard to fathom but it is true.  Thank goodness for electronic communication which greatly reduces the amount that we use but all in all, paper is still king.   Most home buyers are pretty amazed at just how much "paper" that they have to produce in order to secure a mortgage.  Without getting the lenders, Realtors and anyone else involved in the deal all of the information that they want, you simply are not going to be making a purchase.   I am only a few...

The Dinosaurs ARE Coming!!!    A few weeks ago I sent sent out a couple of links concerning the new projected Dinosaur Park in our immediate area.  It seems more realistic all of the time.  If you are driving south on HWY 59 just south of Roman Forest, you will now see this sign that was posted just a few days ago.  It is an artist rendition of the projected $1.6 BILLION park and what it will entail.  That is correct...that is BILLION with a "B." This is a HUGE economic factor in from Humble all the way north on Hwy 59 to Cleveland TX.  Good or bad, depending on which side of the fence you are on, the park will change our area forever!   Our area is destined for some major growth in the next few years.  I know that this park has been rumored for a few years but every day it becomes more...

OOps I Did IT Again!!! .....%*/@!!!*#^*)_?<+=={]{  YES, those are cussin words!!! It is late at night and you pull up in front of the garage door.  Darkness is so thick that you can cut it with a knife.  You grab the garage door remote in both hands and anticipate the moment.  You ask yourself, "should I or shouldn't I?"  As your heart races and your temperature rises, you slap yourself to take control of yourself and push the button.  The rain comes down harder and harder and the garage door begins to open.  One inch, two inches.  As it nears the halfway point, you can scarcely take the suspense.  What will this moment reveal as your headlights begin to scan the horizon?  As your eyeballs fill with blood you can only hope for the best.  And now you can see it.  Off in the distance is t...

National Neighborhood Day is TODAY! Initially I thought, just another day to fill the calendar with trivial things that nobody will pay attention to.  After I gave it some thought however, I figured, you know, this is really a good thing. How often do we go through our normal routine from day to day and never give a passing thought to those who are living right around us?  If we are in a subdivision, we can go through years without really getting to know even the first names of people that you can sometimes hear snoring.  Sounds bizarre but you know what I mean.   We can get so predisposed into our own world that we often legitimately do not have time for just being neighborly.  So many of people work such long hours and are so busy that by the time we get home, the last thing that we w...

Apples and Honey were one of the centerpieces of many homes last evening when the New Year of 5770 was celebrated. New Year? 5770? Apples and Honey? Blowing of Shofar's? WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! According to the Jewish Calendar, not the Gregorian Calendar that most of us use, On 9/18/09 at sundown began the Jewish New Year of 5770. It is better known as "Rosh Hashana" or translated "head of the year." To most people in the Christian world, the apple actually has a pretty bad reputation. It was the alleged fruit that was responsible for the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. One bad apple can indeed spoil the whole bunch. In the world of the Hebrew Scriptures however, the apple has a totally opposite meaning. The Song of Solomon says that, "As an apple is rare and unique ...

As many of my regular readers, customers and clients know, I always know what is going on in and around the Kingwood Texas Real Estate market.Because I have developed 3 "wholesale" databases of all types of properties for sale in the Kingwood Texas market, it is very rare that anyone in the market is aware of as many properties for sale on the market or privately for sale in this market.  I have developed systems to uncover bank foreclosures, for sale by owners, distressed properties, REO's, short sales and of course properties on the local MLS.Any agent can send you a list of MLS properties but very few are able to identify the properties in my "wholesale' database in a timely manner. The latest database of properties I have been able to put together contains everything available from ...
