Kingwood, TX Real Estate News

The ability to reap additional profits on the sale of your home in Kingwood Texas can be accomplished easily enough if you make the right improvements. Many changes can provide the prospective buyer with enhanced feelings about your home, feelings of more space, more light, more rooms, more closet space, greater privacy, warmth and security. Basic, simple and inexpensive improvements can provide an improved emotional response in a potential Kingwood Texas buyer. An example could be something as small as a crack in the paint on a wall. Simply by applying some plaster and touch up paint, you eliminated what may be an unstated concern that your home in Kingwood Texas was poorly maintained. Though the feeling may be unconscious, it's just as important that the potential buyer feel an overall...

Get comfortable looking for properties on the internet. Realtors post their listing on the MLS which is available to to view on the internet you can search the MLS from my webiste at http://www.bryanfagan.biz/mls-search2.htmlThe MLS is what realtors use and where you will probably find the best investments. If you find your property on here you can ask a realtor such a myself what houses are selling for in which ever neighborhood you are interested. Or what houses are renting for in that neighborhood so you can figure out whether you will be able to charge enough rent to cover property taxes, the mortgage, and still make a profit. After you have the purchased property you need to get it rented. The best way to do th...

Buying your first rent t house is the scariest because of the learning curve and lack of experience. After the first rent house the second one will not be nearly as difficult or scary. First I would increasing your investment IQ by reading (1) Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and (2) The Richest man in Babylon. These books probably can be picked up at the Half Price book store for less than 5 bucks. You can also read the Richest Man in Babylon on the internet for free. These books will not help you with the specifics of investing in real estate but if you read them you will have a better idea of what you need to look at when analyzing an investment and the best way to approach it without making as many mistakes. Also I would recommend listening to Del Walmsley on Bizr...

September is HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH.  To me, hunger is to go to bed at night without my milk and cookies.  Most of us, even in difficult times, are far from true hunger.  Like you, I have at times been truly hungry and I have to tell you that I did not like it one bit.  For me however, it was usually self inflicted. Will we ever solve the hunger challenge.  No.  Throughout the reign of numerous presidents and leaders, many have resolved to end hunger in our country.  No matter how much money, time or talent we throw at it, I am convinced that we will not end the hunger challenge in this country for many reasons.  Even the Scriptures declare in the book of John that "the poor will always be with you."  We can however at least be aware and when the opportunity arises, do something tangibl...

Moving is often a necessity of life.  Good or bad, job changes, schools, health reason etc.  we are all prone to have to or want to move at different times in our lives.  It is not always easy on adults but on children it can be traumatic as they leave friends and familiar places.  We need to use some wisdom as parents to make the transition as easy as possible.

Are the Camels really coming or is it children walking to school.  Some of these young peoples backpacks are so big and loaded down that you swear that they must be leaving home for good.    What is inside of these things anyway.  Are they going for a month on a hike to the top of Mt Everest?  It simply amazes me as to just how much these pack mules can carry.  Reminds me of the old western movies and the gold miners hiking into the mountains in search of precious metals. Well, whatever is in there, here are a few backpack safety tips to at least keep them safe and from injury.

I don't wanna do my homework....words that parents have not heard for a few months once again begin to permeate the halls of our homes in Kingwood Texas.  We can all remember the days when we said those very same words.  I suppose our children learned them from us!  No matter how you shake the dice, they still need to do it in order to "move to the next grade" and ultimately "move to another house."  (Admit it now, there are days we wish they already lived in another house)  I can still hear my mother utter the words, "Edward Bachman, if I have to come in there you will be sorry."  Here are a few helpful hints that may make the transition back into study mode a bit more enjoyable.

For many parents the fact that the children are back in school is a real treat.  For others, it is time to sing the blues.  Some children are also excited about going back to class and being with old friends and getting back into the routine but others are like Huckleberry Finn and just want to keep on playing.  Who needs school anyway? No matter which side of the fence you are on, here are a few tips that just might alleviate some of the pain.

Yes, it would appear that the Dinosaurs are coming and making their trek to the NE Houston area.  We have heard about this for several years and it would seem that we are now one step closer to it becoming a reality.  The location is actually in New Caney in the NW quadrant of Hwy 59 and Caney Creek.  Over 500 acres will be dedicated to numerous museums and a theme park.  In addition, there is planned an eco friendly subdivision.  This is exciting news for our area and our state.  The previous economic impact study reported that when completed, it should generate between $200 to $400 million additional dollars in revenue to our area. Here is a link to sign up for the news updates.  The site is currently static but I would anticipate that soon it will be posting the kind of news that wil...

As we quickly approach 1 Sept 2009, there are a few more changes in Texas law that you might want to be made aware of.  This one concerning "crime" hopefully does not affect most of us at all but it is still good to be made aware of what our legislators are up to.

I think that most of us can attest to the fact that driving is not what it used to be.  The sleeker, more powerful and much more expensive automobiles has changed the driving experience for us all.  All too many times I have wished for more stringent laws and more experience for new drivers before they are let loose on the highways.  It is a public safety issue for us all and the state of Texas has taken some efforts to address this challenge.    I hope that the young people will respond favorably as it is really in order to give them more confidence and experience on the road
