My daughter has a disorder where everything has to be immaculate. I swear you can eat off our floors. However the stove was another matter and she has been hounding me to clean it. I wanted to clean it but we lost the instructions on how to operate the self cleaning oven. I was afraid that I would burn the house down. The stove has had lots of use with many greasy spills. The other day I went on line and found instructions for a stove that kind of looked like mine but was definitely not like my model. Low and behold it did the trick and I managed to  operate my self cleaning oven. The instructions said the oven may catch on fire but not to worry, it would burn away everything and leave an ash and all would be fine. Below is a picture of my oven on fire. Tour de Lites Bicycle Ride   Keep Pearland Beautiful will be sponsoring its 17th Annual Tour de Lites Family Bicycle Ride on Saturday, December 11. The one and a half hour evening recreational ride begins at 7 p.m. at the pavilion in Independence Park and goes through the Green Tee Subdivision to view the Christmas lights. Registration for the ride ends at 6:30 p.m. and no vehicles will be allowed into the park after 6:45p.m. There will be a hayride available on a first come, first served basis for those who cannot ride a bicycle (limit 75). The riders then return to Independence Park for hot chocolate and cookies. Registration before November 19, 2010 will guarantee that you will receive the shirt size(s) you request. Ok- I admit it.  I waited until too late to decide to decorate my home for Thanksgiving and lots of people are headed to my house for Thanksgiving lunch.  I love to decorate!  So, last week I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a lot of the things they had left for 80% off!  I got some plates, napkins, floral items for the tables and even bought some of the new LED flameless, scented candles!  These candles are great.  They are on a 4 hour timer and will come on at the same time each evening and turn themselves off after 4 hours.  (the candles aren't Thanksgiving items - you can use them year round) I also stopped by Ross and Marshalls and picked up a few items there.  If you are a little slow this year, like me, be sure to stop by Walgreens too.  They have some really cute Thanksgiving item... 11/19/2010
