Some Things Remain Unchanged Just The Way They Like It In Pipe Creek Pipe Creek is a few miles from San Antonio in Bandera County. I had some showings there a couple of weeks ago. Sitting on the front porch visiting and watching the sun go down were pretty common past times back in the day. This was on one of the porches of one of the houses I showed:    Here is a close-up: The land around the home was probably pretty much the same as it was earlier this century. Sure there were some new buildings, and fencing, but the land is not covered by cement and I think it's pretty safe to say that not a lot goes on there out of the ordinary. But that's the way they like it. Otherwise, they wouldn't be living in Pipe Creek. And there are lots worse places to live. Need some help finding your Sout... 08/06/2012

If you happen to be driving north on Highway 16 from Helotes to Bandera, you will be passing the Junction Cafe. It's on the left at the traffic light in Pipe creek. While you're there, take the time to run in and buy a pie. You can choose from a very nice selection of freshly made blackberry, cherry, pecan, buttermilk, apple, four-berries pies. Thery're absolutely delicious, a real treat that will be appreciated. The pies are often warm when I arrive to pick mine up. If you normally find pastries too sweet, as I do, you'll find these refreshingly not-too-sweet. 07/27/2008
