Here is an interesting website to checkout.  I have it added to my website, so click on ZIPSkinny.com and scroll to the bottom of the page.  This site will allow you to compare U.S. census data by zip code.  You can even create a FREE (my favorite word!) widget to add to your website.  This is a great tool for your buyers.

As an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP), I assist all my sellers in preparing their homes for the market. "Staging" is presenting your home in it's best and most appealing light to the majority of homebuyers. Homes that are Staged, or prepared for sale, by an Accredited Staging Professional look better than other homes on the market by being clean, clutter-free, and ready to show to prospective buyers. Staged homes traditionally sell faster and/or for more money in today's real estate market. The tips below are to help you get your home ready for showings by potential buyers. 1. First Impressions - Make sure your lawn is mowed and the front porch is inviting. Buy a potted plant and place it by the front door. First impressions are very important and leave a lasting memory. 2. Clutte...

There have been many babies born around the Rain recently.  I was wondering how many people are utilizing or will be utilizing Baby Sign Language?I plan on taking the course.  In the Dallas area, there is a course on March 13 at Presby Plano from 6:30-8:30pm that I am signed up for.  There is also a course in May at Presby Dallas if you were going to wait a little longer.  I wanted to learn as soon as possible so I can start showing my mom and help get my husband in the routine of using the signs, so I'm not waiting until the recommended age of 5 months.  I don't think it matters when the parents learn it, it's about when the babies will start understanding it.So, what other parents used Baby Sign Language and did it help you and your baby communicate that much better? Here is the site t...

Dear Clients,I would like to explain to you how I work. This is not meant to offend, just to educate you on the steps I take when I start the home staging bid process and when you'd like me to stage your property in the next day or two from initial contact, I'd like you to understand the process I undergo before we can even begin and I hope you understand why I can't do it with a snap of my fingers. I only wish it were that simple. BELIEVE me I do!Let's set the scenario:Day 1: I get a phone call let's say on a Wednesday : (actual) Client says:"Hello, I have a (vacant) house that needs staging, how does it work and how much does it cost & can it be done possibly this Friday?"My reply usually goes like this, "Thank you for contacting me, of course I can explain the home staging process bu...

The Los Rios subdivision in Plano, Texas I believe is a an under-rated subdivision.  I had the privilege of growing up in Los Rios and living on a cul-de-sac over looking the 17th hole of the Los Rios Country Club Golf Course.  Most of the homes in this area were built in the 70's * 8's and a lot of these homes are well over 2,000 square feet. You can still buy a home in this area for under $100/ sq. ft.  Right now homes in the area are selling for about 74/ square foot and the average time it takes to sell a home is right around 87 days. So, if you are looking to perfect your golf game and you want a beautiful big home that overlooks the golf course please contact The Good Team Today!   To View Listings Click Here  Email me to sign up to become a VIP buyer with The Good Team!  We will ...

Have you ever closed a real estate transaction with a client you've never met in person?  It's challenging and frustrating, but can be oh so rewarding! My buyer client is in Afghanistan at Bagram and found me through ActiveRain.  Back in July (!) he contacted me about finding a home in Addison TX for his ex and young son and where he will live when he returns to the States. Communication with the buyer, RC, was done via email.  During the 4-month process, he called only 4 or 5 times.  He did not have a number that I could use to call him.  The ex-spouse, CC, lives in an Addison apartment and was readily accessible.  She became his eyes and ears in Texas.Besides the limited communications, there was the challenge of the overseas notary issue.  RC did not want to assign his Power of Attor...

The City of Plano was recently ranked as the safest city in North Texas, the 3rd safest city in Texas, and the 55th safest city in the nation according to Washington-based CQ Press.378 cities with a population over 75,000 were considered.  The CQ Press Safest City Award is based on a city's rate for six basic crime categories: murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft. Each crime category is considered separately and weighted based on its seriousness. Those of us that live and work in Plano know it is a great place to live so it is nice to recognized nationally.  Congratulations Plano!!Are you looking to move to Plano?  I'd be happy to share all the benefits of living in this great city!
