Market Report for Rockwall Texas 09/30/2015  Rockwall ends the busy market season strong with Average Sales Price of Homes up 12.9%. The average home sold for $251,729 in 2014 but jumped to $284,311 in 2015. This is a good reason to sell if you have been on the fence. The sellers market continues!  Of course you have to consider where you are going if you sell?? Many of my clients are downsizing, cashing out and buying newer homes with 15 year mortgages. We saw the rental house online and we want it before we move to Texas!  Or.....We drove by and saw the house, can we have an application?   Renters are subject to a competitive market with low rental inventory just like home buyers are in this market. They have missed out on lease homes that are coming up on the market to be gone by the days end!    I understand their situation and empathize with it...but our policy is you must make an appointment to view the home first, then we will give you an application. Policy's usually there for a reason of something that has happened in the past which we have learned from.
