The South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce is hosting it's annual trade show this Saturday, April 25th from 11 - 4 pm at The Woodlands Waterway Marriot. This event is open to the public, and will play host to several Chamber member businesses.  The theme this year is to "Go green, get fit, and shop smart!"  Last year was a success with over 100 vendors on display, so please feel free to stop by and check it out.  The Marion Franke Team is planning a presence at the event, and it should be a fun time for all! I don't know how many of you were able to attend The Woodlands Going Green Series last Monday, but I have to say that it was probably the most educational speaking event that I have attended in a very long time. The whole hour revolved around the Farmers Market that is in the Grogan's Mill Shopping Center every Saturday- Seasonally of course.  We also had the opportunity to listen to some of the amazing Business Owners that have products there. Out of all of this has sparked a new series for the Living Green in The Woodlands community- Buy Green-Buy Local: Local Green Businesses that you need to know about. Two of these are Nativa Soaps and Marcello with Nourish.  Marcello is an amazing guy that makes Bread with Natural and Organic products-none of those ingredients that you can't pron...

When you drive in to The Woodlands, it is no wonder why it is one of the most popular Master Planned Communities in the State of Texas.  It has everything from dining, shopping, parks- and then there are the Trees and Nature that really gets the attention of people. Well, Green just seems to go along with the theme of The Woodlands which is one reason why the Grassroots organization The Woodlands Green was formed. The Woodlands Green is the organization that puts on the Earth Day Festival every year- They help promote the fantastic Recycling program that we have, A Walk in the Woods, and work with local schools on education with Sustainable and Green topics. Now, they are adding a Going Green Lecture Series that will be held monthly at the Shenandoah City Hall Complex. Personally, I be...
