Cedar Creek Lake elevation is up 3.5 feet from the first of December.  For folks in the north who are used to consistent water levels this may not seem like much.  Here in Texas, where we've experienced the worst drought in Tecas history, this is big. Cedar Creek Lake is now down 4.5 feet from the full pool elevation (322 feet).  This means that most boat house now have water under them and a couple more good rains could fill Cedar Creek Lake. "Where can I launch my boat at Cedar Creek Lake?"  is a question we are being asked this year. Don's Port Marina at Cedar Creek Lake is still open for boat launching. The following picture was taken yesterday - 11/18/2011.  The boat was just launched with no trouble. While Cedar Creek Lake level is down 7.75 feet, Don's Port Marina is still allowing people to fish.

Higher priced homes ($600,000 to $2 million) are seeing their values drop while $400-600,000 are on the rise.     Cedar Creek Lake, Texas waterfront home sales for September, 2011 were comparable to 2010 sales.   Off-water homes sales, generally led by Gun Barrel City, were about 1/3 lower than 2010.
