Berryville Graphics, a German-owned company, plans to add 86 new jobs to their Clarke County facility.  Governor McDonnell announced the new jobs after meeting with the CEO of Bertelsmann AG - a European media company. Berryville Graphics will be the location of the consolidation of book printing operations for Bertelsmann.  The company will institute $10.6 million dollars in renovations to the Berryville, VA, property.  The Berryville Graphics facility was originally the Double Day Bookbinding operation.  Under the skillful leadership of Governor McDonnell, Virginia has started special programs to attract businesses to Virginia.  The county and state both offered matching grants to help fund the company's recruitment, training and retraining activities. It's that time of year.  The annual Pedal for the Pooches is just around the corner.   On April 28, 2012 at 10:00 am, cyclists from far and near will be joining together to help support this wonderful facility.  The Briggs Animal Adoption Center hosts this annual event as a fundraiser to support their Charles Town, WV facility.   The great thing about BAAC is they don't euthanize animals that show up on their doorstep.  They are an adoption center which offers housing and care for animals that are homeless.  They will take care of that pet until a "forever home" family adopts it.  I've had the privilege to participate in the bike ride for most of the previous 10 years.  It's a great first ride to the cycling season.  The course snakes its way through the WV countryside of farms and coun... 03/29/2012
