THE DULLES AREA OFFERS LOVELY HOMES AND CONVENIENCE TO SPAREBuying a new home can often be a matter of compromise; location vs. price vs. amenities, vs. schools, vs. price, etc. Buyers for homes in Loudoun County are faced with the same trade-offs.  Do they buy the $1,000,000 home that is 15 minutes from the job site, but is across the road from a light industrial area, Dulles International Airport on 1/2 acre lots??  Or, do they buy the $1,000,000 home, same model, that is 40 minutes from the job site, but is in the countryside with a pastoral and mountain view on 3 acres?  I'm working with a new buyer couple now that is facing that very same dilemma.  They love the Waterford new home model that they have selected and they can get the same model in both locations.  However, unlike the ... 05/22/2007

As a member of the Northern Virginia Building Industries Association, I have had the privilege to participate in their seminars and classes.  I should finish my CSP (certified NEW HOMES sales Professional) certification this week.  Things I have learned about our market in recent weeks: we have a 54 month supply of condos!The market may be on the way back up. One market consultant for a national firm confided that they think that Loudoun county "bottomed out" last October and is on the way back up.   Fairfax is too early to tell. March numbers will indicate its status. Typically, in March, the market surges with additional resale listings.
