The overwhelming majority of eastern Prince William County commuters travel north to The Pentagon, Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Arlington and Crystal City.  An excellent fleet of buses is operated by PRTC (Potomac and Rappahannock Transit Commission). The bus routes operate in the communities of: LAKE RIDGE MONTCLAIR DALECITY The buses then stop at Commuter Parking Lots near or at I-95 interchanges and proceed to their northerly destinations.  PRTC also operates service to the Franconia-Springfield Metro to provide service for commuters who will travel throughout the subway system and to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.  At present there are no PRTC routes serving the US 1 corridor and north to Fort Belvoir.
