Forest Lakes Subdivision -  Forest, VirginiaHistoryIn 1979, 259 acres of open field and forest were purchased with the intent of forming a new residential community outside of Lynchburg, Virginia. In 1984, Lake Vista was founded as a premiere planned community. In the early 1990's,  Forest Lakes was developed from a portion of the original Lake Vista property.                                                                                 The neighborhood consists of single family homes.
