                        Warren County, VA Real Estate Market Review - 2017The Warren County, VA real estate market ended 2017 on an upbeat note. The positive numbers are up, the negative numbers are down and the area appears to have put the recession behind it.Warren County, VA Real Estate Market: Good to Great NumbersThe average sales price for 2017 was $246,398. That is an 4% increase from 2016. That number looks even better when you look back over the past five years. The 2017 average sales number is 26% higher than 2013. Go back to the worst days of the recession and it shows where the market has been. The current average sales price is 56% higher than the market lows of 2011. Today was a little mid-week opportunity to get out of town for a day.  And I took advantage to take a ride out to the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National park.  We are seeing the very first hints of fall (it is, after all, officially autumn).  This shot was taken late this afternoon facing east.  There were touches of red and yellow and some fall flowers.  But it was the mountain skyline in the background that really took my breath away.  09/23/2015

The Front Royal, VA real estate market had a slight pullback in June 2015 from the previous month. The drop in sales was 6.5% which sounds significant until you realize it was only 3 less homes sold month to month. June home sales were 43, while May was 46. The market shows higher distressed property sales compared to its northern neighbors in Winchester / Frederick County. VA. The June distressed sales (short sales and foreclosures) made up 16.3% (4/3) of total sales. May distressed sales were up slightly at 17.4% (2/6). The low number of overall sales make the distressed property sales less significant. The Front Royal, VA real estate market appears to be creeping along on its own recovery schedule.
