The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously, on Tuesday, to purchase land located at the National Converence Center in Landsdowne to be used for a new high school  in Loudon County , currently referred to as "HS-8". The  school will be sited on  the 45.61 acre site.  The parcel is being purchased  from Oxford Capital Group LLC for $20 Million .  The school will serve students in the Ashburn and Landsdowne communities and is anticipated to open in the 2015-2016 school year.  The terms of purchase allow for a 120 day, due diligence period, which will allow the county to investigate any concerns about the site prior to final purchase.
