Fluvanna County Has Grown!

Fluvanna County's population has grown 31.6% since 2000 according to an article in the Charlottesville Daily Progress. This places it 8th in Virginia for the time frame according to the University of Virginia's Weldon Cooper Center. These figures should come as no surprise to residents of Fluvanna or to anyone who was aware of the 60% growth experienced by Fluvanna from 1990-2000. There are two main reasons for this high growth rate. One is the county's convenient location close to Charlottesville and adjacent to Albemarle County. The other is the fact that housing prices are generally more affordable in Fluvanna offering the ability to purchase more home for the money than in Charlottesville and Albemarle.
