All three of my children have grown up seeing Dr. Heidi Herbst, DDS, FAAPD. We started out in her little office down the street from the current location, back when the kids played in a little room that probably used to be a closet. These days the facilities are much improved, but the service and caring of the staff remains the same.My oldest (now almost 21) was three when I first took her to my dentist. He is a  pretty great guy, but my daughter was having none of it. She screamed the whole time and I finally carried her out of there, sheepishly, and put off taking her back to the dentist for almost a year. Living in the Flight Path of Dulles International Airport Dulles International Airport affects many communities from Ashburn to Centreville.  Depending on the prevailing winds, you may be on the approach path, or departure route from one day to the next. Having lived in Centreville, VA's community of Asher View for about four years, I can tell you that living in the traffic area of Dulles Airport was actually something my husband and I enjoyed.  Of course, my husband is a recreational pilot and we would sit on our deck and listen to the approach frequencies to hear who was about to pass overhead. The Best Cakes in Northern Virginia Come from Chantel's Cakes & Pasteries I celebrated a big milestone birthday this month.  I turned 40.  And I figured if any birthday deserved a great cake, it was my 40th.  That cake was chocolate with white buttercream frosting from Chantel's Cakes & Pasteries in Sterling, VA.
