Well it has been about a week since Windermere upgraded our websites to bring us the best of the best techonology in today's world.  I for one, well, truthfully, do not like change but have slowly learned to adapt and overcome!  I haven't quite completed or accomplished the look and feel I am looking for on my new website, but I hope you'll hang in there until all the kinks are worked out and we're back on track! I am fairly computer and internet savvy, but it has been a challenge utilizing the new format, but I know with time and knowledge it will be better than ever for both you, as the consumer, and myself, as a professional broker marketing your home for sale or for rent!  I have not had much time to learn all the new tricks and widgets and links etc. due to being quite busy in the f...

The Theler wetlands is the perfect way to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon. Birds dip and soar as they call to the winds. Small animals pause on the graveled path as if to consider the humans. Breezes carry through the channel of Hood Canal to retell a legend lost to time. The coy sun melts though the gray and understands that Theler is more than a moment to be found.

Its a sad to to see this place close, we will miss this great place to hang out.      The food that my family and I have received there has always been very tasty ( somewhat greasy at times, but hey – that’s part of the charm). The french fries are the best (I love the natural skins on and floppiness of them). The onion rings are hand dipped and we love them as well. And the milkshakes are made from hand-dipped ice cream the old-fashioned way. Your flavor in town will be missed. Thanks for the time you were here! www.daryldatus.com love to hear of your memorys of a favorite place!

In the moments of Sunday sales, I had this car drive into the parking lot, for no other reason than just good old classic fun, I wanted to share this picture. Many times over the sales drives me to get another classic, if you have a favorite send me a picture. Or if you have another love send it with your thoughts. Have a great 2nd quarter end!   Ask a room of Realtors, “What’s the real estate market doing?” and you’ll get more opinions than you have Realtors.  I do think, in all the confusion, there is a simple truth. The truth is there is no housing market, there are at least are two markets – primary and secondary.  Of the homes that are selling this winter, few are “primary residences”.  The primary market, where we all live and raise our children is stunted by foreclosures.  This puts the banks in the awkward position of both selling and financing properties.  This conflict in interest has banks driving the market with values that would have been unbelievable less than four years ago and while the financial institutions control the market,  real estate market is picking up but taking its sweet time doing it.  Hope does ex...

Putting your house on the market? Before the "For Sale" sign goes up, give your property the ultimate spring cleaning. When it comes to showcasing your home for sale, there's no such thing as a house that's too clean.  Here's what I recomend as an expert  you do to clean before holding an open house. Prior to your first open house, review each room for grime and clutter, including the garage, basement or attic, as there are multiple steps to a polished look.  And beware the too corny maneuver: apples baking in the oven are definitely out; the aromas of essentials oils, however, are in.Give yourself time to prep for an open house as every surface needs to be cleaned. And just like when company comes, clean and de-clutter to impress,  clean windows and screens, clean doors and finger-mark...

Home Buying Process If you are a first-time homebuyer or haven't bought a home in a while, this guide will offer valuable information about buying a home. Gather the information you will need to qualify for a home mortgage   Before you can buy a home, you will need to secure financing. Be ready to provide a mortgage lender with the following information: Income and Employment What is your current income? Are you employed? Do you have a history of steady employment? If you are in the process of getting your home ready to be put on the market or if you are interested in refinancing, review the following tips from Equity Mortgage Lending as you prepare for your home appraisal. The appraiser will need approximately 30 minutes to one hour to complete the inspection phase of the appraisal process, which includes: exterior photos of the front and rear of the home and a photo of the street in front of the property; measurements of the exterior of the home, garage and any outbuildings; a walk-through...
