We all get curious about what our neighbor's house is selling for. Finding out what it is listed for is easy - just look online or in the newspaper, or maybe grab a flyer from the box out front. But what about the sales price? Rumors and innuendo abound, but it can be hard to find out what the sales price is sometimes. That's why every month we publish pictures of sold homes and info about the sales price on our blog for both homes in Leavenworth and Cashmere WA. Every month on our real estate blog we show you all the homes that have sold recently in Cashmere WA. In addition to a photo of the homes we give a brief synopsis of how long it took to sell and the price it sold for. We always find that there are a lot of rumors and guesses about which homes have sold and for how much.  Many home sellers try and compare their home to other homes that are on the market, but forget that listing prices aren't the best indication of the true market value. Only the prices of the homes that have successfully sold can help you with that. Click on over to our blog to read about: Cashmere WA Sold Homes October 2010 Cashmere WA Sold Homes September 2010

"Geordie, you sure write a lot of posts about Leavenworth. Do you ever sell any houses in Cashmere?" I do. In fact, Allyson and I live on the west edge of Cashmere just a little outside the city limits near the Chelan County Fairgrounds. One of my goals for 2009 is to do a better job of making it easy for folks to find out about the Cashmere real estate market. On our main website, www.iciclecreekrealestate.com , we plan to have regular articles about the Cashmere real estate market. Cashmere Sold Homes March 2009 Cashmere Sold Homes February 2009 Cashmere Real Estate - 2008 Year in Review I have also created a specific page that takes you directly to Search for Cashmere Homes for sale. Of course, the best way to stay informed is to get new articles delivered: Feed Reader (RSS) Or Email...

I love Spring for all the new life that comes from our trees and flowers, and flowering plants.Even though it is officially Apple Blossom time in the Wenatchee Valley, it is the pear blossoms that are actually in bloom.  The unseasonably cool Spring has the apple blossoms behind, but the pear blossoms are beautiful.  With blooming pear orchards in the foreground, this picture is taken from the deck of a home on Red Apple Road near Cashmere,  looking West toward Cashmere and the Cascade Mountain range.  I love Spring!Enjoy the season!

For those of you in Central Washington this weekend please come visit us in Cashmere for Founders Day. As a recent transplant to Cashmere from Leavenworth, this will be my first Founders Day. Events include a parade, a ping pong ball drop and lots of live music. I'm sorry to miss Wenatchee Valley favorite Michael Carlos (a good friend and a real estate client) perform on Saturday night. (We'll be at a wedding.) We certainly enjoyed his concert at Apple Blossom earlier in the Spring. You can find out more about Cashmere and Founders Day on the web.

Allyson got this bit of fan mail today..."So what is up with the blog? I notice that the frequency of postings has decreased--I rely on it to keep up to date on the greater Leavenworth real estate market--I am starting to get the shakes--when will we get a new post?" This is for you Holly....I have been a little surprised that there hasn't been much movement in the usually crazy Cashmere housing market. Currently, there are 10 homes on the market in Cashmere under $300,000. This is about a 3.5 month supply. Clearly a strong seller's market by most approximations.Yet, there is only 1 pending sale!I decided to dig deeper....See the entire article at www.myLEAVENWORTH.com
