This time we travel to Eagle Falls. A class 5+ rapid, and you can see why, expert river goers routinely brave the 60 foot vertical drop that makes the rapids so aggressive. While its not for the faint of heart, there are videos on YouTube showing kayakers taking the plunge. My video, from a different perspective, give an idea of how the length of Eagle Falls run, their strength, and their beauty all wrapped up into a nice package. Enjoy the video and have a great YouTube Thursday!

Last Friday afternoon a client requested information on a property for a potential listing in Gold Bar, Washington. Gold Bar is a small rural community in southeast Snohomish County about 55 miles northeast from my office in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. You’re definitely in the high country heading into Gold Bar and the Cascade Mountains on State Route 2. If you continue east you'll drive through several small towns and burgs then over Stevens Pass into Leavenworth (famous for its Bavarian motif), and finally to Wenatchee on the Columbia River in Eastern Washington. It’s a beautiful drive. I was given an address of 429 Croft, Gold Bar, WA. But having been in the industry awhile and knowing Gold Bar is about as far off the urban grid as you can get and still show up on the map,...

Well it is ski season again and with it comes all the traffic,  I love to see all the people getting out of their office's to come enjoy the winter wonderland we have to offer. With that being said it is also a much needed boost for the agents in this area as to the fact that people just can't seem to help themselves when it comes to dreaming of a winter getaway. This is our chance to sell something in a normally slow winter market, yet as we all know this year is even slower considering all that is happened with the financial market. So If a Client is dreaming of a winter wonderland, bundle up and show them the way!!!  Happy HolidaysWarmest Thoughts,Nikki

I have realized that I have listed and sold more vacation properties this year than homes.   The Hwy 2 corridor being as majestic as it is, it's no-wonder people from all over want a little piece of heaven.   It does surprise me that here is still such a demand for vacation homes in a slowing real estate market.  I can always count on a short market time with a vacation listing.   Being that skiing is just 20 miles away and we have wide verity of out door activities to enjoy.  I love working with these buyers, it is still a American dream to own a vacation home and this proves it's self even in a slow market.

Wallace River Estates, Gold Bar's newest residential development is progressing quite rapidly.  There are currently 9 homes being constructed with 3 more on the planning books starting real soon.  This development offers many features not found in homes of this price range.      MD Moon Construction is taking great pains to upgrade much of the electrical and electrical fixtures in their properties.  Things like brushed aluminum chandeliers, and numerous canned lighting fixtures augment the 5 piece master bath rooms in their first 2 homes.  Instead of plain canned lighting fixtures, circle lined and chrome lined cans have been installed. Rotating "eyeball" lights are featured in the main living areas and master bedrooms.  The company plans to install tile entryways and oak cabinets to ad...

A brand new development in the making is taking place at the base of Wallace Falls in Gold Bar.  The new Wallace River Estates is located in Gold Bar. Gold Bar, located in Snohomish county at the base of the Cascade mountains leading up thru Stevens Pass along Highway 2. This housing development is made up of ramblers, 2 story and Tri-level homes offering spectacular scenic views of the Falls from the front or back yards of these homes.  The quality built homes are not "cookie cutter" styles and the builders-Md Moon Construction and Unity Construction have made an attempt to vary roof lines and layouts making it a quality development at affordable prices. Sidewalks, underground utilities, and a private park that graces the Wallace River makes this a very peaceful neighborhood with water...
