Kirkland Washington Fourth of July Parade, 2011Kirkland Washington Fourth of July Parade, 2011Kirkland put on a full slate of activities for the fourth of July, including a top notch local parade.Featured were local businesses, polititians, schools, sports teams and different clubs and art and dance groups. The humongous Kirkland ladder firetruck was in the parade, as well as police in squad cars, the paddy wagon and a motorcycle. There was even a trampoline hauled behind a truck with some one jumping the entire time!We thoroughly enjoyed it  Here is a little video with snippets of the different participants. Everywhere there are families and moms, all with adorable little girls in beautiful outfits.Today is the rehearsal. Tomorrow is the performance. Our “Oh so adorable” granddaughter is the main attraction. The first rehearsal is from the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The song is “In My Own Little Corner” The second rehearsal is a tap feature. The music is “I’ve Got No Strings To Hold Me Down,” from Pinnochio. It was cute, but this is cuter! 06/19/2011
