I have teamed up with a financial educator named Dan Keller who helps my clients make smart mortgage decisions every day... Marysville has a lot to offer families moving into the area. Dan and I have teamed up to create a dynamite relocation packet for anyone moving into the area. Where are the best parks? the best places to eat? What are the numbers for the City of Marysville? After our last staff meeting, I realized the importance of getting together. Oh I remember the Buffinni "100 Days to Greatness" and how we all pledged that we would stay together as a group and never break up.... Well, here we are 10 months later and no group. Every man/ woman/ child for him/her self! seems to be the new battle cry.. We really need to be getting together in small groups. Come on, how likely is it that the tip you shared with the group today is going to translate into me getting the edge on you and stealing your clients and or listings? Getting together allows us to vent, and, instead of isolating ourselves, we are held accountable. Instead of quietly putting our heads in the sand and ignoring the world (and our clients, potential business, etc) we have to face each othe...

As more and more short sales pop up in different Seattle neighborhoods and suburbs, it is important to try and get the rules straight.  Short sales have typically taken much longer to negotiate as a rule and as a result some of the stats in the MLS have probably been off at times as a result. Here is what the definition of a short sale is according to the NWMLS:"A "Short Sale" is a sale that does not produce sufficient funds to cover the existing monetary encumbrances against the Property, closing costs, real estate commissions, and other financial requirements of closing. Seller's creditor(s) are those third parties who have an interest in the Property in the form of a deed of trust, some other security, or a lien (e.g. tax lien)."The MLS has changed the way short sales are to be handl...

Marysville WA Real Estate and homes for sale. The Real Estate Market is not a national market, but a local one.  Each area is different depending on job growth and housing supply. In some areas, it's a seller's market. In other areas, it's a buyer's market. Some areas are neutral. The fact remains that while there are more homes on the market and they are taking slightly longer to sell, the market is not nearly as bad as the media would like you to believe.I personally believe what we are seeing is a NORMAL market for Marysville Washington real estate.  Marysville area homes for sale aren't being snatched up in the first few days and they are not selling for more than the list price.I think many people (including the media) thought that our past HOT market in Marysville was normal. As the ...

As major cities, such as Seattle, grow residents often want to enjoy the benefits of working there but for numerous reasons choose not to live there. Due to this, "bedroom communities" sprout up. One of these is Marysville Washington.Incorporated in 1891 by James Comeford, Marysville has grown to have a population of over 35,000.With the surrounding areas, that figure climbs. The nickname of this place is "the Strawberry City" and this is celebrated the second week of June each year. Of course, this would be due to the numerous strawberry fields located around the city. This festival is not to be missed and Marysville residents flock to the main street, State Street, for the annual parade which never disappoints. With growth comes jobs and amenities. Though there is a mall located in tow...

I was buzzing around my MSN Blog this morning and something popped into my head which hasn't been thought of in a long time, the save on gas link. That is right, a link that will show you the cheapest gas prices in a zip code. I used to use it quite often and one day started to forget and the rest is history. The general public has no idea how much feel the typical real estate agent uses over the course of a year showing property, doing previews and so on. So this is a way for us to get the latest and greatest information to save us some dough. Hope it all helps every save a few dollars during the summer and through the year, click here.

Lately I haven't had a whole lot of new local content to post about due to other work factors keeping me busy. Here at Barnett Associates Real Estate we have new construction plats from the Hauck Homes, LLC as one more builder, hopefully (negotations are still taking place), and many agents working all across Snohomish County. Now that summer is coming the market is really picking up a head of steam which makes getting into work at the crack of dawn ever more important. There are many projects scheduled for the coming months and hopefully I can get everything done in a timely manner. Well gotta run and start doing some stuff. Have a great week and enjoy this sunshine :)
