Pasco, WA Real Estate News

2009, here we come!  December is almost here, Christmas is fast approaching and January 2009 is right around the corner...where did this year go!  Time sure does fly when your having fun!  I know sometimes trying to sell your home during the holidays doesn't seem like fun.  Keep up the faith, some homes do actually sell during this time of year and there have been offers that have come in on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or even New Year's Eve!  In the Tri-Cities, if you are in the market to buy a home, it's still a great time to do it.   If you listen to the mainstream media and press, you may have heard that lending has all but ceased.  Don't believe everything you hear.  Talk to your local lenders.  If you have good credit, money in the bank and fit their lending criteria, you can get...

Many times before putting your home on the market, your real estate agent may suggest a little sprucing up of your home.  Sometimes all you need may be a little art on your walls.  It is an inexpensive way to make your home stand out from the crowd.  Please do remember not to go overboard with art that is too taste specific and keep it neutral and simple.  Don't get nailed with extra holes in your walls and poorly arranged pictures. Consider these tips before hanging artwork. Arrangement is key •·       If you have several smaller items or a large wall on which to showcase your artwork, an arrangement may work best. •·       Artwork can be grouped by color, subject matter or by matching frames or mats. Consider varying the sizes and shapes of items to add interest to an arrangement. Kee...

I enjoy contests. When Carolyn Tann-Starr announced the Club Chaos Fall 2008 Eye Candy Contest I knew I had to enter! The contest rules require originals. Well, these pics are not only my own, but we own the view as well! These photos are the back yard of our Columbia River home, a home we have listed to sell. I've enjoyed photography from a novice's perspective, and I've enjoyed capturing the varying looks of the Columbia River from a our back yard. I probably have a few hundred of these, however, the following images were taken within the past couple of weeks. As I write this post all the leaves are gone, but I managed to capture the essence of fall color before the last leaves fell. Here is my offering of 2008 fall images from different days, varying times, and various weather condit...

Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco Washington added about 110 nonfarm jobs in September and the unemployment rate dropped slightly from August. The State Employment Security Department also reports then number of nonfarming jobs increased by 2.28 percent from one year ago. The Tri Cities Washington stable economy and satisfactory employment conditions are helping to keep the real estate market stimulated. The McNary National Wildlife Refuge straddles a wide area of the Tri city region, but it is closest and most accessible from the Pasco area. When considering a Pasco Wa real estate purchase, one must consider the beauty of the accompaning Wildlife Refuge. This wildlife sanctuary covers some 15,000 acres of shrub-steppes, sand dunes, bluffs, river deltas and islands, rolling hills, canyons, and bluffs which provide food and habitat to a rich diversity of plants and animals. The McNary National Wildlife Refuge of Tri city Pasco is located on the Columbia basin, where some of the hottest and driest climate in all of the Washington State can be seen. This warm, dry weather combined with a healthy river system makes the area a favorite among birds and many other types of plants and wildlife....

Many home buyers and real estate investors have been prompted by steadily increasing interest rates to be more aggressive in their hunt for bargain homes. Competition for the best-priced and most attractive homes has only increased in most real estate markets and because of that intensity, foreclosures are drawing more and more interest from prospective home buyers and investors. While foreclosures certainly offer some financial benefits, there are also risks involved, as you might expect. Not every foreclosure is the same and while the interest in them is growing, you need to be aware of what to look for when evaluating whether or not a foreclosure opportunist is right for you. Here are some things to look for...[more] Related Resources: Home Purchase Pitfalls Bridge Loans Do Not Flop ...

As EBay and any slew of online auction houses have taught most of America, prices skyrocket when two people bid against each other. Indeed, this has been one of the core tenets of selling probably since the beginning of time and the real estate industry has made significant work of that trait in trying to squeeze as much as possible out of a home. There are two different situations when getting two people to bid against each other might help a real estate home’s value. One entails fielding similar offers and making counteroffers to both (though this can be sticky if both accept) or simply telling both sellers that there are two offers out there and whoever steps up with a better offer will secure the home. The other situation involves intimating to one potential buyer that another contr...

Pasco is known for its stance on eco tourism, an idea it promotes through the Lewis & Clark Overlook and the American Indian Heritage attractions detailed below. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center Overlook is situated at the junction of the Columbia Center and Columbia Park and it overlooks the River Columbia near the Bateman Island which is how it gets its name. A concrete avenue comprising of a pergola with two panels and a map of the Lewis-Clark Trail engraved into it is on display. Additionally, there is a wall of stone and some amount of landscaping done. In the Northwest, the first Federal Highway was the Columbia Drive. Comprising of a concretized dual lane road, it competes with the Columbia River. A commemorative interpretive sign indicating this is situated at the junctio...

Pasco Washington has some truly stupendous wonders only a little while up the road. This 80-mile gorgeous piece of natures wonderland is the Columbia River Gorge, forms a natural boarder between north Oregon and southern Washington. Created by glacial flooding thousands upon thousands of years ago, the 1,200-mile-long river course is the solitary sea-level passage bridging the Cascade Mountains. Imagine waking up in a part of North America that has such a rich treasure in its own backyard, and this is the case for Pasco Wa area. Snake River is just one of the Columbia River and Gorge tributaries. Related Pasco Resources: History ~ Pasco Wa Overview ~ Pasco Wa Recreation ~ Pasco Wa Economy ~ Pasco Wa Pasco Wa Real Estate
