Times change and so much of what we know about life continually morphs into a newly discovered sensibility. Case in point, it was just Columbus Day last Monday and many of us are no longer all that impressed about it (if I’m reading all the ‘tweets’ right). We were taught in School to celebrate the day, the discovery of America. Yet, now, history is rewritten and we realize the fact it was a conquest (with many to follow) and millions of indigenous peoples were compromised, murdered, and basically ripped off to the max. Mr. Columbus didn’t even discover 'here'.
