One of the attractive reasons for having a real estate office in Downtown Vancovuer Washington is the First Friday Art Walk Event.  This October 6th, 2017 is also special because it is the inagural for Premiere Property Group, LLC to be on the map as one of the participating locations. To top it off, our own Kat Zander's Abstract Acrylic work will be featured!  All of the Original works on display will be available for sale, along with a modest selection of Reproductions suitable for framing. The hours for this event are from 5:00 pm until about 9:00 pm.  The location for Kat Zander's work is at 311 W 11th Street in Vancouver WA, with many other locations within a modest walking distance (please remember the meter maid gets off of work at 6:00 if you park at a meter!). We hope we can se...

At the sound of the Siren, and with Flashing Red lights, the I-5 traffic comes to a halt... and imperceptibly at first, the twin lift-spans begin to rise... until the spans are high enough to allow the tug and barge to pass peacefully by, before lowering again! Photographer's Notes:  The mighty I-5 Freeway, and main supply artery to Western Washington "shares" the mighty Columbia River with barge traffic at the Vancouver-to-Portland crossing point.  Fun to watch this old-school bit of technology in action when going for a stroll; not so fun necessarily if you are stuck in the resultant traffic jam!

Vancouver's Downtown Condo Sales Rocket in Early 2015!   As a part of the revitalization of Esther Short Park, and the surrounding environs, several Downtown Condos in Vancouver WA have been built in the modern era to help make downtown an enjoyable place to live, in addition to the options for employment, restaurants and shopping.  Condos are available with offerings ranging from quality Studio units, to luxury Penthouse suites. As we mentioned in our recent comprehensive Vancouver WA Condo Market Report, this part of the local real estate scene in general had lagged in the housing recovery for our local area until 2014.  The Downtown locations had an even slower recovery until One lender was able to provide financing at Parkview Condos, and all of a sudden the available inventory saw ...

Stand for Something or you will Fall for anything. Today's Mighty Oak was Yesterday's Nut that Held its ground. ~ Rosa Parks Photographer's Notes:  The mighty Garry Oak (White Oak) was once a common feature of the Western Washington landscape as they could resist the relatively frequent fast-running grass fires that would eliminate their competition.  The Fog in the distance is actually from the Willamette River, and not from the closer and much larger Columbia River!

Vancouver Farmers Market - Sunshine on a Cloudy Day The clouds are back in Clark County today,  but the Vancouver Farmers Market has plenty of sunshine to cheer you up.  You'll find fresh and local in a variety of shades, including yellows and golds. Rain or shine - the Vancouver Farmers Market is open.  Regardless of the weather, the market is open from 9am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays, from mid March through October 27th.  The downtown Vancouver Farmers Market is Southwest Washingtson's number one venue.  The market is a pet friendly place where you can chat with the farmers or growers, or the makers of your purchases. Naturally, you can find food to eat, listen to music, stroll through Easter Short Park and enjoy the day in Vancouver USA.  Don't let the grey skies get you down. He...

Historic Homes in Downtown Vancouver - Market Report in Early 2013 Downtown Vancouver is one of my favorite spots to explore with clients. There are many charming homes with plenty of character. Buyers can explore a number of historic houses - Cottages, Bungalows, Tudors and mid 50's Ranch styles to be specific. There are currently 54 active listings in the area. A number of the homes have been restored with thought and respect for their time period. Craft molding, leaded glass and beautiful wood floors represent some of the best renovations.  However, be forewarned, there are also a number of homes that have been haphazardly updated with the intent of flipping. Homeowners near Downtown Vancouver enjoy a casual, urban lifestyle. The most popular neighborhoods are those within walking di...
