We conducted a real estate auction for three properties last night and even though we had good turnouts for the open houses we didn't have any idea what to expect. Much to our surprise we had almost 100 people show up. Our sellers could not believe the crowd, but we were ready for them. One of the properties had been on the market for almost 3 years .....it brought $800.00 less than the list price. The othe two brought more than we or the the owners had thought they would bring. There has been a boom in the real estate market, but not the type of boom that most people have expected. This boom has been due to real estate auctions and not traditional real estate sales.
